Grow Up Ladies

I thought this was a book about 3 mature & confident women (late 30s, 40s) who are looking for adventure and love. Not so much...

Instead, these women were as insecure and timid as teenagers who didn't know their own minds. They don't talk to the men in their lives about anything important or even confide in their female friends. What martyrs!

These women go to a sex club to "have their sexual attractiveness" validated by strangers. Seriously? What a disappointment.

A great read with exciting issues you will love

This was a great listen Gracie has always been one of my favorite characters. I can understand why she feels she is in left field not knowing where she belongs if anywhere. The author brings back all the characters that we have come to love but still it is a little different then the past books in this series. The plot is wonderful and really holds your attention about a two people who grew up more or less together overcoming the issue of being almost like brothers and sisters. On top of that they have to overcome the rest of the family issues. Each brother feels like Gracie is their little kid sister, no one is good enough for her and they will kick anyones tail that tries to take her away from them. Which leads to a big issue when their brother Seamus sets his sights on her. The author takes you through the joking and picking stage and how much that upsets Gracie. Of course they must admit they love each other that bring issues of their own. It really was a wonderful listen with a wonderful narrator.

This narrator is one very talented person giving a compelling listen with such passion you can feel through her voice. She really brings these audio to life giving you a highly entertaining read as she puts emotion into the audio you can feel the pain, sorrow, sadness, joy, happiness through her tones. Her performance is outstanding as she pulls you in taking you away through the excitement and danger that comes. I love her many different voices from her sexy strong males to her sassy strong women. She pulls deep inside herself giving you a compelling listen that will leave you chuckling and at times laughing. She knows how to hit the correct tones really keeping the listener invested as they wait for the next shoe to drop. There are not any background noises and no breaks were taken that I could tell. You can picture the story unfold through her voice and her tones. You have no trouble knowing who is talking or what they are feeling. What this narrator brings to the table is a very clean, crisp, clear audio you get lost in.

I did think the ending was a little rushed I would have loved to have seen how the one brother took the news once the moves had been made. The ending is really wonderful it will put a smile on your face. I really enjoyed meeting up with past characters seeing who has had children and where their lives has gone. This is a wonderful family with normal issues.

A very good book.

This is a waiting for the other shoe to drop book but ends Up HEA.

Hated the Protagonist from the beginning!

I really hated the "star" of this book. She was a whinny, little thing with pretty much ZERO in the way of redeeming qualities. Only kept listening hoping the author had the guts to give her what she deserved - nothing! Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find the typical HEA ending.

The narrator did a great job of sounding as irritating as I know Marin would have sounded were she real.

I actually read the book before I listented to the audio book. It was strange to have one voice be all the voices of the book. I am not sure I liked it.

I think her voice impersonations threw me off a bit, I am not sure I liked her voices.

Omg what an wonderful ending!

Where does Happily Ever Addendum rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

I loved that the book went into their future 15 years. I have listened to over 253 books and this book by far out ranks the others because of the in depth coverage of their future, it just ended more completely for me. This books narration style ranks very high for me as well because it read as a play with 2 narrators acting against each other as opposed to a narrator who has to play both male and female characters in a scene. I believe this narration style helps the performers stay true to the character's emotions in the moment, instead of them focussing on trying to perform other gendered voices.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Happily Ever Addendum?

Spoiler alert..........the children. I love that Aiden and Lilly adopted Cole and she took him in and she treated him as her own child and that they also had children of their own. I love that Aiden fell in love first and wasn't afraid to remind her of his love even though she did not say it back for quite awhile.

What does April Lowe and Craig Jessen bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Awesome emotional performances! It doesn't read as well when a character cries on paper. Then the love scenes are different too because the performances make it jump off the page!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, yes, yes! Tears, laughter, frustrations, swoons and hot flashes, all throughout this book.

Surprisingly emotional conclusion

This wasn't as funny as the first two installments, but handled the switch to drama very well. Overall a very good trilogy. I'll probably listen to them again around Christmas.

Just an ok read

I listen to this whole series. I started out liking it but then there was zero romance in book 1. There was finally some romance in book 2 but by book 3 there was really no romance again. A few short sex scenes and a couple of mentions of out of town get sways but no details.

Everyone's stories are wrapped up in HEAs but by the time I got there, I just didn't care much. This whole series could have been done in one book, moved along at a good pace and it would have been much better.

Emotional Story

The Harder I Fall is an emotional story that is presented well in audio format. There were moments when I felt the anguish, hesitation and sadness resonating in the heroine. Becca is a sympathetic character. Then add in Levi and her world changes. He has his own issues but he's able to bring happiness to Becca's life. of his own. Backed by strong secondary characters, the story unfolds beautifully with the requisite angst of New Adult Romance until we reach the surprising but satisfying ending. Despite the dark issues addressed, the story is sweet along with feeling authentic. That's just perfect.

My Musings

I have been a fan of Tina Folsom since I read Samsonâs Lovely Mortal years ago. I recently decided to read/listen her Eternal Bachelors Club series, and I am so glad I did. I have enjoyed the first three books in the series, but I love One Foolish Night. I have been fascinated with Hollyâs character since the Lawful Escort as the quicky room-mate of Sabrinaâs, the heroine in the first three books.

Holly Foster has worked for an Escort service for years. After seeing the happiness her friend, Sabrina has found with Daniel Sinclair, she decides to resign and see if itâs possible for her to find a fulfilling and lasting love as well.

While dancing with Paul Gilbert, a member of the Eternal bachelors Club and friend of Danielâs, she gives into the manâs allure and suggests a night of pleasure, never knowing that this encounter will forever change her life.

When the seductive Holly offers him a night of passion, he readily accepts. Holly is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women he has ever seen. The morning after a night he will remember forever, he discovers that Holly is a call girl and he does not take it well and says some unforgiveable comments he can never take back.

Wow, I just say, wow, what a fantastic read! I thoroughly enjoyed Holly and Paulâs story even more than I enjoyed Sabrina and Danielâs. The chemistry between the couple is combustible from their first night together and continues throughout the rest of the book. The sexual scenes are incredibly hot and erotic, but the best part is the love that grows between Holly and Paul.

For such a short book, both characters are extremely well-developed. The storyline is unique and held my attention from the first scene to the last. Ms. Folsom is a master at weaving an exciting tale, whether it is vampires or bachelors. I have read all of her books, except One Long Embrace, which I am starting next, and I have yet to be disappointed! I canât wait to read/listen to Jay and Taraâs story.
