Teaching has significantly changed in the past few years! Students returned to the classroom with large learning gaps and teachers are left to pick up the pieces. The traditional methods of teaching are no longer as effective as they once were, and teachers are struggling to find ways to motivate students to engage. To help address these issues, I’ve written a book titled Motivating Readers: Teaching in the Post Pandemic Era.
In this episode, I share insights into the origin of the book and what teachers will find inside. The book offers practical strategies and techniques for creating a culture of reading and motivating students to re-engage in the learning process. I share in this episode how I needed to change my mindset and realize that some students really couldn’t do what I was asking them to do.
