Greg travels to Madrid for a chat with Vanessa Guerra. With the exception of being a rider, there’s not much Vanessa hasn’t done in MotoGP. The conversation takes in her unique relationship with Marc Marquez, what it’s like being a team press officer at the top of motorcycle racing and her switch into the media which included the Inside Pass vlog with Red Bull. There’s also a trip down memory lane, including the time Vanessa’s racing brother found his collarbone where his elbow should have been, and just how nerve-wracking was it to appear on Eurosport? And did we mention how Colin Edwards tried to get her fired from Forward Racing? In a poignant moment, Vanessa recalls live broadcasting following the tragic loss of Luis Salom. Steve Rider is a bona fide legend of British sports broadcasting. Talking Away in this episode, the BBC Grandstand turned ITV Sport anchorman has been there and done it in just about every sport imaginable. There’s plenty of nostalgia as Steve recalls the highest high of Lewis Hamilton winning the 2008 F1 world title on the last corner of the last lap of the last race and the lowest low of 3-time World Champion Ayrton Senna losing his life live in-vision at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. There’s also discussion on Steve’s invaluable contribution to the development of TV coverage for the British Touring Car Championship, including memories of the late Murray Walker and a clip from the great man’s first-ever BBC broadcast in 1949.

A well-known face and voice in The Midlands, Bob is recognised all over the United Kingdom chiefly for his news reporting on Central News, formerly ATV Today. In a life full of colour and movement, Bob discusses how it all began and his friendships with Countdown star Richard Whiteley and motorcycle racer Percy Tait amongst many others. He also recalls the horror of reporting live from the scene of the Birmingham pub bombings in 1974. As well as the news reporting which became his trademark, including hosting the UK’s first-ever breakfast TV show, Bob also presented The Price is Right and enjoyed an indoor firework party with Chris Tarrant.
