Formula 1 returned after the summer break with the Belgian GP. A dominant Verstappen win, a strange Ferrari strategy call, the Alpines doing better than the McLarens, all the usual 2022 things were on offer. But there was some special performances and some big news.

Josef Newgarden took the 5th race win of the season ahead of a brilliant David Malukas and Scott McLaughlin. Now, with just 2 races to go the top 4 are separated by just 17 points and its 2 Penskes leading 2 Gnassis. And 1 more of each team complete the top 6 with McLaughlin in P6 just 54 points behind teammate and championship leader Will Power.

After a hard fought season, the championship is finally coming to a close and the champion is all but crowned. Stoffel Vandoorne almost secured the title as Vergne, Mortara and Evans falter big time at the penutimate round. With just the Seoul weekend to go it's still all to fight for P2 in the standings.

A 0 points weekend for Jehan has put him firmly out of even top 3 contention as he falls down to P5 in the standings. Enzo Fittipaldi takes his P4 spot with a double podium. This was Josef Newgarden's weekend which quickly turned into Pato O'Ward's weekend as Alex Palou and CGR are having a few drama filled weeks. The championship fight is hot and 6 wide heading into the final 5 races of the season.

A P2 in the sprint and a P7 in the feature race keep Jehan in 4th in the championship and in the lead of the Red Bull Juniors but Drugovic is running away with the points lead after a P3 and P4 in France. Sargeant and Pourchaire swapped places in the standings and the american polesitter was able to grab only 3 points while the frenchman got a podium at home.

There's still all to fight for especially in the midfield as only 12 points separate P5 from P12. With 5 weekends to go, things might still change for some drivers.
