I have always been a writer and a dreamer. The inspiration and motivation to write these children's books were my family. My motto mommy is about the challenges my family experienced as I went through my mental health healing process. The goal is that these books are relatable and a resource for others going through the same things. I often get asked two questions, how do you do it all? and where is the fountain of youth? I've been asked this so many times that I really had to sit down and figure out the answer. It was difficult for me to see what people were asking and seeing. But the truth is that there was more to my actions and the results I got from them. Mass shootings have created fear and trauma throughout this country. Me included. Anytime there is an event my heart breaks for all those involved. I pray and hope that my kids and I never have to experience anything like that. But this Memorial Day, my kids and I were unfortunately victims of an event that took place at Ontario Mills Mall. I never wish this experience for anyone even with the outcome that we had. (Trigger Warning) Monday was one of the scariest days of my life as a parent.
