In this episode, Paige and I partnered up with Eric Robertson, PT, DPT, MFA, FAAOMPT from the PT Outcast podcast. Our discussion centered around artificial intelligence (AI) and it's role in our society, healthcare, and future. We were joined by Josh Engels (PhD candidate in AI interpretability and safety at MIT) and Zach Walston, PT, DPT, OCS  (Head of Clinical at Second Door Health). We had a really interesting conversation!

Paige, Nicole and I spent this morning talking with Alice Rolls, the President and CEO of Georgia Organics. Our conversation included topics such as the importance of cooking, the analogy between soil and physical therapy, as well as the importance of being "hyper-local".

Dr. Bender, Paige, Nicole, and I had a conversation on all things yoga and PT. We touched on topics such as mindfulness, clinician burnout, and sustainability. We learned that the subtleties in practice, such as developing an inner relationship with your body, can help all of us move beyond our goals.

Dr. McDaniel is joining us today! We discussed her road to physical therapy, which includes research in nutrition and her experience in agriculture. We also talked about her experience as a physical therapist, and how she incorporates local agriculture into her daily life and in her profession. We learned about how to incorporate community agriculture into our daily life. 

Today, Paige and I talked with Dr. Eri Saikawa about environmental research, justice, and policy. We covered topics from air pollution to lead contamination to educational programs. We also touched on the importance of creativity in cooperative problem solving, and the role each of us has. If you want to learn something, this is the episode for you! 

Today, Paige Enfinger and I talked with Dr. Peter Sprague about the importance of mindful movement in our every day life. We discussed how we can all move more, and we touched on the importance of physical therapists in ensuring quality of movement. We also talked about the importance of advocacy, both from physical therapists and from those outside of the field, to strengthen our communities. 

Today I talked with Sarah Lukins, who has Master Degrees in Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning. We talked about how we as a society prioritize movement in public spaces, how we can rethink our use of public space, and what we can learn from other countries. From parks to roads to trampolines, we discussed not only movement, but ease of movement too.
