MY SPY: THE ETERNAL CITY is a wildly entertaining spy comedy sequel on Amazon Prime to 2020’s MY SPY. The story centers on the relationship between JJ, a CIA superspy, and his 14-year-old stepdaughter, Sophie. JJ travels to Rome with Sophie and her school choir, which is set to sing at the Vatican. JJ is going because terrorists in Italy have stolen 50 Russian mini-nukes. Colin, the son of JJ’s boss, also sings in the choir. JJ and Sophie must save the world together when the terrorists kidnap Colin.

DESCENDANTS: THE RISE OF RED on Disney+ is another installment in the musical franchise about a school for the children of fairy tale heroes and villains. After the Kingdom of Auradon gave villains a second chance, the Queen of Hearts fled to Wonderland. Uma, the daughter of Ursula, the villainess of THE LITTLE MERMAID, is left in charge of the school. To make peace with Wonderland, she invites Red, the Queen of Hearts’ daughter, to attend the school. However, Red’s mother starts a coup. So, Red and Cinderella’s daughter use the White Rabbit’s pocket watch to travel back in time to stop her.

THE NEON HIGHWAY is a musical drama now streaming on Netflix. It follows hopeful country music singer-songwriter Wayne Collins. Wayne pursues his music dream in Nashville, but a car accident disrupts his dream. After 20 years, Wayne is struggling to support his family on a 9 to 5 job. However, hope arrives in a newly kindled friendship with Claude Allen, a famous country musician at the end of his career. With Claude’s fame and Wayne’s songwriting ability, the new partners set off to try to achieve Wayne’s dream and record the record, “The Neon Highway.”

SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM: THE SANDY CHEEKS MOVIE is an animated comedy on Netflix set in the world of SpongeBob SquarePants. Sandy Cheeks is an intrepid squirrel and marine biologist living in Bikini Bottom. One morning, she and SpongeBob watch helplessly as a giant shovel scoops up Bikini Bottom and takes it away. Sandy notices the shovel comes from her lab in Galveston, Texas. She and SpongeBob ride a volcano vent and a plane to rescue their friends. However, a Texas twister blows them off course. Meanwhile, the lab’s new owner plans to turn Bikini Bottom’s inhabitants into cloned, cuddly living toys.

WONDEROOS is an animated series for preschoolers on Netflix. It follows a group of young animal friends as they face challenges and learn life lessons. A song at the end of each episode reinforces the episode’s lesson. The first episode sees one character having an accident at the park. The second episode shows how another character learns how to make new friends. Episode Three teaches a character the importance of following your morning routine so that you’re ready for the day.

HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON is a comical fantasy for all audiences. Harold lives in the pages of a book. He wonders where he came from as he grows older. The narrator tells Harold that he created him. The narrator says he lives in “the real world.” So, Harold uses his magical purple crayon to draw a door to the Real World. Harold and his friend, Moose, enter the real world and go on an adventure to find Harold’s creator. When they meet Terry and her son, Mel, they make fast friends. Terry and Mel decide to help Harold. Will Harold find the narrator?

A FAMILY AFFAIR is romantic comedy on Netflix. It stars Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman and Joey King. King plays Zara, an assistant to uber-famous action star Chris Cole. Chris meets Zara’s mother, Brooke, and they start seeing each other. This upsets Zara, who knows about Chris’ playboy past. After a fight with Zara, Chris and Brooke secretly see each other. Zara is furious when she finds out and eventually calls out Chris for his playboy ways. However, once Zara discovers Chris has been in love with her mom all along, she devises a plan to patch things up.

SPACE CADET is a comedy on Amazon Prime. Tiffany “Rex” Simpson is a 28-year-old bartender in Florida who had to forego a full ride to Georgia Tech because her mother became sick and died. At her high school reunion 10 years later, she meets a former classmate who has a billion-dollar space company. He tells Rex that she inspired him. This reawakens Rex’s personal dream to become an astronaut. Rex ends up in NASA’s astronaut training program because her friend replaced Rex’s quirky application letter to NASA with a different letter and a fake resume.
