JIM HENSON: IDEA MAN is an imaginative documentary on Disney+ about Jim Henson, co-creator of the Muppets. The movie features a fascinating mix of interviews and recordings. Donald discovers the lightbulb is dead, but his spare breaks when he tries to open his crowded closet. So, Donald rushes to the hardware store to buy a new one. The new bulb doesn’t work, however. So, he tries pulling the cord in the electrical socket and damages the wall and ceiling. Back from the hardware store, he tries to repair the unintended mess, worsening the situation step by step.

The first three epsidoes of CHIP ‘N’ DALE: PARK LIFE: Season Two on Disney+ follow Chip and Dale relaxing together, searching for food, eating, and competing. Each episode contains three short stories. The first episode starts the second season off with intriguing stories about things not being quite what they seem. For example, Chip and Dale apparently go to Mars, or do they? In Episode Two, the pair of mischief-makers compete in power plays, get into disagreements and share different approaches to life. In Episode Three, Chip and Dale experience the repercussions of lying and the power of healing and love.

THELMA is an extremely funny movie about a 93-year-old woman, Thelma, who’s been conned out of $10,000. Thelma will do whatever it takes to get it back. Supported by her grandson, Daniel, and fellow senior citizen, Ben, “Grandma” fights for justice and peppers it with a little mercy. Many laughs occur as Thelma travels across Los Angeles in a motor scooter to catch the thief.

SOMETHING TO STAND FOR WITH MIKE ROWE is a lively documentary just in time for July Fourth. TV personality, raconteur and motivational speaker Mike Rowe tells several historical stories celebrating American patriotism. Rowe tells multiple re-enacted patriotic stories. The stories include stories about the Founding Fathers, several America soldiers who took part in various famous battles, two Medal of Honor winners, an American President, and two Supreme Court Justices. He also reveals a story about some advice the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., gave to a young black female singer that impacted her life.

DISCIPLES IN THE MOONLIGHT is an excellent political thriller with a Christian message. The United States government has created an operation to ban the Bible and create its own “Truth Bible.” An underground Christian activist has asked Christian leader, Nate, to smuggle Bibles to seven churches in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Nate tries to enlist the help of the activist’s former friend, Jim, to help. However, Jim’s wife was murdered by government agents, and Jim is afraid for his adult daughter’s safety. Can anything convince Jim to help? And, will Nate’s smuggling plan succeed?

Set in New York City, A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE is a scary science fiction movie about an invasion of alien monsters from space. Sam is a young but terminally ill female poet who’s very bitter. She finds herself trapped in the city when alien monsters invade. The monsters can’t see, but they hunt by sound. Sam wants to survive one more day to visit the place where she and her father used to spend quality time. Eric, a law student from England, helps Sam and her cat.

DESPICABLE ME 4 opens with Gru and three minions traveling to Gru’s old School of Villainy to capture Maxime Le Mal. With help from the Anti-Villain League, Gru captures Maxime, who’s transformed himself into a human-sized cockroach with superpowers. However, Maxime escapes from prison and vows to track down Gru and his family. So, Gru and his family go into witness protection. Gru and his family still aren’t safe. The young teenage girl next door, Poppy, recognizes Gru. She wants to be a villain and blackmails him into helping her steal the School of Villainy’s mascot, a mean honey badger. The heist exposes the family’s secret location and endangers his infant son.

GEORGE WASHINGTON is a historical documentary available on DVD and streaming. It recounts the story of this remarkable Founding Father from his birth and youth to his military triumph during the War for Independence, to his presidency, death and legacy. It uses excellent historical authorities such as Peter Lillback of Providence Forum and the late Walter E. William of George Mason University. The documentary’s primary aim is to refute claims that President Washington was not a Christian.

WE THE PEOPLE is a documentary from Providence Forum. It recounts the story of that remarkable document, the United States Constitution. It brings in some excellent authorities on American history, including Os Guinness, Judge Darrell White, and the late Walter E, Williams of George Mason University. Beyond this, speakers such as Dr. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., and Rev. Billy Falling, a Native American pastor, are key.
