WE GROWN NOW is a beautiful movie about the friendship between two 10-year-old black boys in the Cabrini-Green housing project in Chicago in 1992. Malik and Erik have been friends since birth, Malik briefly narrates in the beginning. Both boys have a vibrant homelife. Malik lives with his mother, grandmother and younger sister. Erik lives with his widowed father and college-going sister. Their lives are impacted by a police crackdown after the accidental shooting of a 7-year-old boy. Then, Malik’s mother gets a better job in another city, and his family’s upcoming move causes a rift with his friend.

EPIC TAILS is an animated comic adventure from France dubbed into English about the adventures of a little female mouse in Ancient Greece. Pattie, an orphaned mouse, has been adopted by a vegetarian cat named Sam. Pattie wants an adventure like her heroes, Jason and the Argonauts, who brought back the Golden Fleece of peace and prosperity to their city. Sam is afraid to let her go. Pattie gets her chance to follow her hero’s footsteps when Poseidon gets jealous of Zeus and demands the city build a statue with a fancy trident honoring him in seven days.

GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE pits the two giant monsters against a new threat. A human scientist, Ilene Andrews, travels to Hollow Earth with two friends and her adopted deaf daughter, Jia, to investigate electrical disturbances. Jia has a telepathic connection to Kong and is having visions of Kong in trouble. Kong runs into a giant ape in Hollow Earth, who’s enslaved other giant apes and enslaved a large dinosaur who uses harmful, deadly energy beams of ice. The evil giant ape, Scar King, wants to lead his army to the surface to destroy human civilization and rule the Earth.

A NASHVILLE WISH follows the journey of Tucker Davis and his cheerleader crush, Lisa. Tucker dreams of becoming a big country music star in Nashville but is faced with a choice between music or Lisa. A NASHVILLE WISH displays the twists and turns that God can take each of us through. While we may make our own plans, God is the one who determines our steps. The characters have their own plans and their own dreams, whether that’s ending up in Nashville recording music, being happily married, or running a business back home. God has a special purpose and plan for everyone, more than what they could ever imagine for their own lives.

Part Eight and Nine of MASTERS OF THE AIR bring the Apple TV+ series about the 100th Bombing Group during World War II to a rousing conclusion. Captain Crosby must make navigation maps for 200 bombing runs for 72-straight hours before the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944. Meanwhile, three black airmen are shot down while attacking German positions on the French Riviera. They’re transferred to Stalag Luft III, where they meet Major Cleven. Cleven’s buddy, Major Egan, also ends up there. Finally, Major Rosenthal’s plane is shot down over Berlin in 1945, while the POWs are sent on a forced march to Nuremberg.

BARDEJOV is a Holocaust drama, available on Amazon and set in early 1942 in Bardejov, Slovakia. The Slovakian government is increasingly putting restrictions on the Jewish community in Slovakia, including Jews in Bardejov. They’re doing it to appease Hitler’s war-mongering National Socialist tyranny in Germany, in hopes of avoiding a German invasion. The army officials, including the ones in Bardejov, enjoy harassing the Jews, however. The leader of the local Jewish Council, Mr. Lowy, played by Robert Davi, tries to soften the blows to his fellow Jews. However, when the Slovakian government orders the local army to round up 300 unmarried Jewish girls to make them work in a shoe factory far away, Mr. Lowy learns there is no shoe factory. The Jews in Bardejov need a plan to rescue their children.

TESTAMENT: THE STORY OF MOSES is a three-part documentary series on Netflix, It tells the story of Moses and the Exodus in dramatic re-enactments. It goes through Moses’ early life in the court of the Pharoah, followed by his escape into the Land of Midian, where he meets Jethro and his wife Zipporah,, Jethro’s daughter. Then, comes the burning bush with God giving Moses His instructions, the return to Egypt, and the 10 plagues against Egypt when the new Pharoah refuses to let God’s people go. The Pharoah briefly relents, and the Hebrews leave Egypt, but Pharaoh changes his mind, only to have his troops drown in the Red Sea. Commentaries by Christian, Jewish and Muslim leaders, scholars and experts periodically follow the dramatic re-enactments.

HOT WHEELS LET’S RACE: Season One is an animated action-adventure series on Netflix. Coop and his pals are selected for a racing camp at the Hot Wheels Ultimate Garage. The series shows Coop and his friends trying get the most flame badges while their skills are tested. The one who has the most badges wins the coveted title of “Camp Champ.”

THE BLOODY HUNDREDTH is an excellent documentary on Apple TV+. It reveals the historical background to the outlet’s television series, MASTERS OF THE AIR. The documentary and the TV series are about the American airmen in the 100th Bombing Group during World War II. The bombing group, nicknamed “The Bloody 100th,” suffered a high casualty rate while it destroyed Nazi Germany’s war machine supporting Hitler’s socialist occupation of Europe. The movie takes viewers from the beginning of World War II to the group’s last mission, where it dropped food for the people of the Netherlands instead of bombs.

In COCOMELON: Season 10 on Netflix, Baby JJ and his brother and sister sing, play and go on adventures with their friends and families. Their friends also sing and play with their parents. The settings include playing or dancing at a farm, in nursery school, at the playground, in a backyard, at a beach, outside in their neighborhoods, and even at a Dinoland. Season 10 is divided into three 55-minute episodes with multiple musical vignettes.
