AMSTERDAM is a mystery about two World War I veterans and a nurse who uncover a plot in 1933 by rich businessmen to stage a fascist coup against President Roosevelt. Two World War I veterans in New York, a black lawyer named Harold, and a white physician named Burt, reunite with their wartime nurse, Valerie, to stop the plot. The businessmen want a general named Dillenbeck, who’s admired by veterans across the country, to lead a fascist march on Washington to oust Roosevelt. Dillenbeck agrees to speak at Burt and Harold’s upcoming army reunion to smoke out the plotters.

FIRST RESPONDERS weaves together the stories of several different responders. As the movie develops, the audience sees the pain and suffering of first responders. First, Mark and his firefighter comrades go to a tremendous house fire and rescue a girl, who tells them her brother’s still inside. Mark goes to the little brother and finds out he’s been burned to death. This breaks Mark’s heart and causes advanced PTSD. Meanwhile, a policewoman is shot when she pulls over a car. Her husband, an ambulance driver, is devastated, as is Mark’s wife the policewoman’s best friend.

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE is a sports drama streaming on Pure Flix. It follows former NBA prospect Scott Beck, who’s 39 years old and works as a janitor at his former high school. Beck learns that his ex-girlfriend now owns her father’s professional basketball team, the Silver Knights, and is holding open tryouts to play professional basketball. Despite his age, Beck takes a leap of faith and tries out for the team. However, a malicious owner and fear of failure are in Beck’s way. After a series of setbacks, Beck finds himself back where he started. Or, so he thinks. Will he trust in God’s plan or his own?

THE GREATEST BEER RUN EVER is based on the true story of one man’s journey from New York City to the heart of the Vietnam War in 1967 to bring beer to his childhood friends. “Chickie” Donohue wants to feel purpose in his life and in the war. He decides to support those serving overseas by offering them a taste of home. However, Donohue realizes that the media portrayal of the war, his support for American leadership and the chaos of reality don’t line up at all. Through a series of adventures and misadventures, Donohue comes home with a new perspective.

INSTANT DREAM HOME: Episode 1.2: “Schoolhouse Rock” follows a homeschool family of two parents with five children who are the youth pastors of a church. Sarah and Eric need more space and organization to their house. So, the INSTANT DREAM HOME team comes in unexpectedly. Not knowing that their house is being transformed, the family goes to swim at Sarah’s brother’s house. The Instant Dream team must fix the landscaping, paint, re-do the kitchen, and more, including add an extra room and put a prebuilt schoolhouse in the back yard. Will they be able to accomplish everything in 12 hours, before the family returns from their pool party?

THE MIGHTY DUCKS: GAME CHANGERS is a Disney+ sports series based on the 1990s film franchise of the same name. “Ice Breaker,” the premiere episode of GAME CHANGERS Season Two, transfers the junior hockey team into an intense summer training camp. After defeating their biggest foes in Season One, the Mighty Ducks face a terrible snag when their Ice Palace training rink is condemned. With nowhere to practice, the team accepts an invite to EPIC, an elite California training camp for the best players across the country. The camp director, however, pits the Ducks against his camp’s fiercest players. Can the Ducks maintain their team spirit?

Episode Six of THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER on Amazon Prime kicks things up a few notches. The humans of the Southlands are getting ready to defend themselves from the Orc army led by Adar, one of the elves corrupted and deformed by an imprisoned demonic character. Meanwhile, the ships from Númenor bearing 500 troops are reaching the western shores of Middle Earth. Once there, they will ride over the mountains and into the valley of the Southlands. The humans have some surprises in store for Adar’s army, but Adar has a couple tricks up his sleeve. An exciting battle follows.

The first two episodes of SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW set a comical tone for the series. Jennifer Walters, an up and coming deputy district attorney, is on a road trip with her cousin, Bruce Banner, when a car wreck results in Bruce’s Hulk blood entering Jennifer’s own bloodstream. Bruce tries to help her adjust to her new Hulk superpowers, but Jennifer resists. She’s anxious to get back to her legal career and hide her superpowers. This turns out to be much easier said than done.

In the sixth episode of STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS, the Enterprise rescues an alien boy appointed the “First Servant,” his father Gamal, and Alora, a diplomat. Alora is also Captain Pike’s former girlfriend. Pike agrees to return the alien trio to Majalis, a highly advanced alien planet. Gamal fakes his son’s death to keep him from returning to the planet, but he’s thwarted. The boy returns to Majalis with Pike and Alora for an “ascension ceremony.” Pike is allowed to witness the ceremony, which turns out to be human sacrifice to a mechanical device.

MOTHER TERESA: NO GREATER LOVE is a Fathom Events documentary. It showcases Catholic charities for “the poorest of the poor” started and inspired by Mother Teresa. Interspersed with visits to some of these charities around the world is a narrative about Mother Teresa’s life. The narrative includes brief dramatic reconstructions of her life without dialogue, footage of Mother Teresa helping needy people, and footage of her speaking about her faith and charity work. Eventually, she became a leading advocate for unborn babies.
