MOANA 2 opens with Moana returning home with an artifact, a cracked pot with the image of an island under a constellation of stars with people surrounding it. During a ceremony celebrating Moana, she gets a vision where she’s visited by one of her community’s ancestral heroes, the first wayfarer. He says the island was a meeting place for all the people of the ocean. Nalo, the god of storms, got jealous of the people. He cursed the island and destroyed the ocean currents directing the people there. Moana must find the island. She hopes her friend, the demigod Maui, can remove the curse and help restore the connection among the Polynesian people.

ENDURANCE is a National Geographic documentary about Ernest Shackleton’s famous Arctic expedition in 1917. Shackleton tried several careers before he discovered his talent for exploration. At the beginning of World War I, he organizes an expedition to the South Pole. The year of Shackleton’s expedition was one of the worst ever for Antarctic ice. Eventually, Shackleton’s expedition can’t beat the winter conditions. The ship gets frozen in the ice and sinks. Will the men survive? Meanwhile, a team of explorers in 2022 search Antarctica to find Shackleton’s sunken ship ENDURANCE under the Arctic ice.

ABANDONED CREATURES is about a loyal student, Aidan, who tries to redeem her dead science teacher’s reputation of her dead science teacher. Aidan and her teacher shared a bond of love for sea creatures. They even asserted such creatures have feelings. The teacher was killed trying to expose a defunct research lab outside of town that performed scientific experiments on sea creatures. The town dismisses the teacher’s claims as crazy. Aidan sets out to prove her mentor was right. Her actions engender her life, and the life of her best friend. Will Aidan finally realize she seeks to bond with the impossible, and let go?

LEGO MARVEL AVENGERS: MISSION DEMOLITION is an animated action comedy special on Disney+. Dennis works at Damage Control, which cleans up the messes the Avengers make when fighting supervillains. Dennis longs to join the Avengers, but he’s an expert at breaking things and lacks self-confidence. One day, Terry, his best friend at work, steals a magic ax and becomes a supervillain. Terry captures the Avengers and plots to take over the world. Dennis escapes from his friend’s wrath and teams up with Vision. He must muster up his courage, free the Avengers, and prove to his friends he’s more than a klutz.

A ROYAL CHRISTMAS BALLET is a lovely Christmas romance on Great American Family. Carrie is a retired ballerina who runs a small ballet school in her American hometown. She’s asked to choreograph a Christmas ballet starring European royalty. Medea, the Prima Ballerina of Videnberg, is escorted by the handsome Prince William. Medea replaces the choreographic work Carrie did with her own, but not before Carrie catches the eye of the Prince. Carrie hits it off with the dashing Prince. However, Medea has been smitten with Prince William for a long time. How far will she go to stop their romance?

A COZY CHRISTMAS QUILT is a romance on Great American Family. The artistic director of the community center, Amy Walker, gets news that she’s one of four finalists for an art fellowship. Her joy is cut short, however, when a local fire inspector, Liam Sullivan, rules the center must close down in 30 days if it doesn’t renovate its sprinkler system. Liam promises to help Amy bring the center up to code if she teaches him to make a traditional family quilt for his sister’s upcoming Christmas wedding. Of course, all three of these plots or subplots, the romance, the fellowship and making the quilt, hit a snag.

A CHRISTMAS LESS TRAVELED tells the heartwarming story of Desi, a small-town diner owner, who embarks on a journey of healing and self-discovery guided by messages left by her late father. She’s joined by a man named Grayson, whose secret motives provide some unexpected twists. Their adventure together blends romance, faith and themes of forgiveness. Desi’s late father leaves Desi a tape. He instructs her to visit their favorite family spot, Treasure Bluff. He also leaves a map. Along the way to Treasure Bluff, Desi and Grayson meet other people who knew Desi’s parents. They give Desi other tapes for guidance. However, Desi discovers Grayson has a secret, which shatters the trust between them.

FESTIVAL OF TREES is a fun Christmas movie about an up-and-coming designer, Jacquline, whose idea of Christmas is challenged by a tree salesman. Though Jacqueline believes it to be a business opportunity and nothing more, the tree salesman teaches her that the people we spend Christmas with matter more than anything. Jacqueline learns to set aside her competitive spirit, allowing her to achieve more than she would’ve otherwise.

UNSEEN is a unique documentary showing in theaters and on local PBS stations. The movie follows the journey of Jess and Ryan Ronne as they struggle to find aid and answers in raising a teenage child with overwhelming health obstacles. The stress on Jess and Ryan, and thousands of other parental caregivers in similar situations, is immense and deleterious. Their call for help is compelling and heartfelt.

GLADIATOR II is Director Ridley Scott’s long-awaited return to Ancient Rome. General Maximus and Lucilla’s son, Lucius, returns to Rome as a gladiator. He’s intent on exacting revenge against the Roman general who killed his wife in a battle in another land. However, the general is now married to his mother and is involved in a plot to overthrow the evil twin emperors now ruling Rome.
