In this episode, Clare is joined by Ruofei Shang who is from Guangzhou in China and is a third-year student studying social-cultural anthropology. She was educated in Jordan, in the Middle East, before moving to America to attend college. Something that turned Ruofei into an incredibly independent person, at a relatively early age.

Ruofei explains how being educated abroad inspired her to study anthropology and what it was like transitioning between 3 countries. She also talks about how being exposed to other cultures changes who you are and the impact it has on where you want to live. In this episode, Clare is with Ella, a global nomad who travels minimally. She and her husband, already a seasoned traveller, moved to Singapore and explored Southeast Asia. 

Ella shares some of her adventures including cycling 4,500 km in 3 months, living in Spain, and connecting with her family roots in The Philippines. As well as falling in love with camping and touring

America's National Parks, discovering new states, exploring Mexico, travelling with a dog, and pausing for 8 years to nurse a family member. In this episode, Clare is joined by Nivea Canalli Bona, Ph.D. , a university professor hailing from Brazil who is also now a journalist and writer. Nivea shares her journey explaining how love has motivated her to go way out of her comfort zone, redefine herself multiple times and take on jobs and roles she had never dreamt of doing.

Nivea had already lived in Chile and Spain, so knew how to adapt to a new way of living. But nothing prepared her for coming remarkably close to being homeless, dealing with COVID-19 and ending up working 14 hours a day for 7 days a week. Nivea explains how she adapted, what she learned in the process and why she now sees herself as a world citizen.
