From Top Gun’s Iceman to Tombstone’s Doc Holliday, there are a ton of iconic performances that the late, great Val Kilmer will always be remembered for. Kilmer sadly passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 65. I picked out some songs from favorite Val Kilmer Movies for this weeks music break. Maybe it will inspire you to enjoy a flick or two? (One song is Val Singing.) The link for the article is below. Please like, subscribe and share please and thank you. ~Mr. Dana

In 1976 the United States was making ready to celebrate the Bicentennial. The celebration itself included several events, such as a giant firework display in Washington D.C. that was nationally televised. Your radio was cranking out hits from Foghat, Donna Summer, Maxine Nightingale and The Bellamy Brothers. Thanks for listening and looking forward to seeing you at the Drive-In! ~Mr. Dana

These individual parts make up The Rolling Stones. Some of my favorite solo accomplishments from the Stones, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood and Mick Taylor. At the very end a little something about Brian Jones and a Youngstown Band, The Deadbeat Poets. Thanks for listening and enjoy! ~Mr. Dana Please Subscribe.

Welcome to the Rumpus Room. I’m Mr. Dana, a retired radio guy with over 40 years of broadcasting experience. Now that I’m off the clock, Mr. Dana Presents: Rumpus Room Radio is simply my way of sharing a lifelong music hobby straight from my home to yours. This isn't an "oldies show”, it’s a straightforward music program for hip seniors who enjoy hearing familiar tunes presented with a little thought behind them. For me, this show is a personal musical diary. I keep the production simple, old-school, and entirely focused on the tracks themselves. I try to put a lot of care into how the songs transition from one to the next, building music blocks that just make sense together. Between the records, I'll share some brief histories, chart positions, and fun facts about the artists. Our core focus covers the music we grew up with from 1950 to 1999, but I also include a Release Radar segment to feature newer music that fits the vibe. You can catch two different sessions every week:
There is no big ego here, just a fellow music lover sharing the soundtrack of a lifetime. Pull up a chair and enjoy the music. Thanks for Listening, Mr. Dana
