Using my phone's recording software, here are a bunch of new Spec-Magical Day stories I cooked up with the help of my younger son.

I spent many hours at the temple this past week – six of the past seven days, in fact.

My sons were a doctor and Ulysses S. Grant this year for Halloween.

By the end of the day, I was home and feverish.

My younger son actually woke up while I was recording this podcast, and could not believe I was turning a fun fantasy story I'd come up with into something to share with adults. But here it is. And he went back to bed happy.

I am the opposite of a fashion maven.

But I'm much better than I used to be, when I wore whatever I could find that fit.

It's been two years since my friend Jon Aubrey died, and I'd like to share a few thoughts, stories, and one of our favorite original recorded comedy bits.

My kids have been generally well-behaved for a while, so it's time to talk about them.

My younger son is playing less-competitive "fall ball" this September and October. I'm not coaching, just assisting from the sidelines when needed. And I made a lapse in judgment this past weekend that's been weighing on my mind.
