As you may know, there is a big push towards "renewables" and electric vehicles as part of the goal of a net zero carbon emission future. In this episode, we talk about the pros and cons of this transition as it relates to the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) movement. Specifically, we discuss why there seems to be a bigger focus on the Environmental aspects around energy while the negative Social elements around "green" energy tend to get less coverage. Finally, we talk about what materials will be required to enable this transition and whether there will be opportunities for mineral owners to benefit from the growth in mining of minerals like lithium, cobalt, and copper in the US.
As always, show notes can be found at mineralrightspodcast.com where you'll find links to the resources mentioned in this episode.
