It's been a sad few weeks since the death of Robin Williams - a man who was synonymous with so many of our childhoods. At the top of the show we take a minute to talk about him and some of the things we've been thinking about since this news hit.
It was difficult to pick just one of his films to revisit for this week's episode, but ultimately we decided to go with Mrs. Doubtfire. It's a role that allows Williams to showcase his comedic and dramatic chops - and it's also probably one of the better examples of a movie that lets Robin Williams be Robin Williams in fairly organic way. It's also an entry in his filmography that we think even he would be able to poke fun at. Don't get us wrong - all of the performances are pretty stellar, but there are more than a few genuine "wtf?!" moments in this story and Chris remains convinced that if you take Williams out of the equation this is one of the creepiest premises of all-time. Topics include: a debate about whether the slightly-awkward first act would be better served by having Daniel and Miranda already separated, Chris' theory that some of the early moments with Mrs. Doubtfire are not in their original order, Carlos' argument that Pierce Brosnan is miscast and that the character of Stu is problematic in general, the aspects of divorce the story gets 100% right, the confusing dynamic between Daniel & Miranda after they split, and much much more!
