Jesus was once asked which commandment was the greatest. His answer reveals to us what should be the prioirity of our heart. We are to love the Lord above all else and with all that is in us. God deserves no less than our all.

What happens when a sinner is born again- Christ moves in. The Christian has the Spirit of Christ indwelling them and enabling them to live their Christian life. Paul testifies to this truth in his own life, but it is also true for every believer whether they be Jew or Gentile. Every born again Christian has been saved the same way and has the same Savior in their life.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be sinless- No person in this world has any idea of what that would be like, except one. Jesus Christ is the only man who was and is sinless. He lived His human life in perfect obedience to God, overcame temptations and met the demands of God's justice for sin. As the sinless man He gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice to atone for mans sin. Because He was sinless and has accomplished redemption, all believers will one day be like Him.

Have you ever experienced defeat in your Christian life- We all do at some point. How do we rise up from defeat- Joshua and Israel experienced a defeat that should have been an easy victory. In Joshua's reaction and God's response to him we see some practical truths we need to rise up from defeat and go forward in victory.

During the days of the early church there was still a division looming between Jewish and Gentile believers. The gospel makes plain that Christ died for all men, Jew and Gentile, uniting them together. Yet some believers acted differently based on what group they were with. Paul has to confront Peter on this issue and reminds Him that justification is by faith for all people. Cultural and traditional differences were not to divide believers in Christ.

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is essential to the gospel and the believer. What role does the Holy Spirit have in the life and ministry of Jesus- Since Jesus is God, why does the Holy Spirit have any involvement- Scripture teaches us that Jesus and the Spirit worked together in the life and ministry of Christ to fulfil the Fathers will and accomplish redemption. .

How important is it that the truth of the gospel be protected- The gospel grace is the only power to save and set the sinner free. The threats against spiritual liberty were facing the Galatians and early churches. Those threats are still real today. Legalistic thinking permeates many in Christianity. It is binding on the conscience of Christians and is a hindrance to the advancement of the gospel. Paul knows what is at stake and does what he must to protect gospel truth.

What does it mean that God the Son became a man- It means that in Jesus there are two natures in one person. Jesus is both fully God and fully man. We often focus much on His deity, but what does His humanity entail- Did Jesus grow up as we do- Did He experience life as we experience life- Jesus knew all of our humanity, except for sin. In part two we dig a little deeper into His humanity.

Every believer is given joy through knowing Jesus. Joy is a great fruit of the Spirit. But often our joy seems to be diminished by the various things of life. There are some ways we must cultivate and care for our joy in the Lord.

Why is the gospel of grace so important- Why should any other gospel be rejected- Because only the gospel of grace truly changes lives. The apostle Paul's life testimony is an example of how powerfully the gospel changes a person. Has the gospel changed you-
