How excellent is our God- Is it even possible to describe His excellency with words- David reveals how excellent our God is His creation and how He works through His creation. Our God is truly mightier than we can imagine and is worthy of our utmost praise and worship.

Is anyone beyond the reach of God's saving grace- Do we sometimes think some people are less likely to be converted- A man named Zacchaeus was man of position and prosperity. He was set for life in his day, but he was lost. Many wouldn't have thought a man like this would be interested in Jesus, yet Jesus came to Him and saved Him. He was an unexpected conversion.

How important is it that God's people be right with Him- It is essential both to our individual Christian lives and our local churches that God's people be right with Him. In this text God tells Solomon some clear truths about restoration. While this promise was directly given to Israel, the principles are true for us today. If God's people turn back unto Him, He will forgive.

Scripture plainly shows us there is only one race, the human race. Within this one race are many people groups that God has designed. The evil of racism distinguishes some people groups as superior to others. Why is there such a thing as racism- Where does it originate- Why has it been popularized in the world- Why do even some Christians hold prejudiced views- We can find these answers in Scripture.

One of the clearest pictures of the Christian life is that of running in a race. Every Christian is a runner in God's race. As runners we must practice certain disciplines that will help us run well. We must have the right perspective in this race by keeping our eyes on Jesus. When we cross the finish line, it will all be worth it.

How important is the deity of Jesus- Was Jesus really more than just a man- Are God's attributes and characteristics seen in Jesus- Scripture reveals to us that Jesus was and is more than just a man. He is both God and man. The deity of Jesus is not optional. It is essential to the salvation of humanity.

Another great picture of the Christian life is that of a free servant. Christians have been set free from the bondage of sin and death, yet they have been made servants of a new Master. Jesus is the Lord of every believer and we are to faithfully serve Him in our great freedom He has provided.

The issue of race is and has been a prominent issue in our world. What is the truth about race- Are there many races- Why are there so many different people groups- Is one people group superior to another- People inside and outside of the church have differing views on this subject, but if we want the answer to such questions, we must look to God. God's word has the truth about race and what God says should be the conviction of every Christian.

How should our outlook be in the midst of adversity- Is there purpose to it- Is our suffering working for good- Paul gives a great example to us in his own adversity. God was using Paul's adversity for the advancement of the gospel and His own glory. God still works this way in the adversity all of His people face.
