Director: Michael B. Jordan

Writers: Keenan Coogler, Zach Baylin

Starring: Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors

Runtime: 1 hour 56 minutes

Synopsis: Adonis has been thriving in both his career and family life, but when a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy resurfaces, the face-off is more than just a fight.

Kriss, Ro and Brandon have differing opinions on the latest Creed film. It seems to come down to expectations. If you have lowered expectations because this is Michael B. Jordan's first time directing and he's also directing himself, this might be serviceable. If you were expecting a film that was in line with the previous Creed films, you might be disappointed. Jonathan Majors is absolutely fantastic but the script seems to do a lot of skipping over parts and "tell not show" that the previous films didn't do. There's a good film that could have been made here but it's not showing in the final product. Part of that could be because there's a first time director but there's also a lot of script issues as well. If this was the first film in the series, these flaws could be excused. But seeing as how this is the third film in a trilogy, something just feels off.

Kriss & Dpalm are back to talk about the second episode of the final season of The Flash, Hear No Evil. It's clear that the show isn't going to waste a bunch of time and stretch themes and storylines out over this shortened final season and we think that's the right move. In previous seasons giving Snow autonomy over whether to bring Frost or Caitlyn back (at the expense of her own being) would have taken a few episodes. But in this condense season, not only do we get that all in one episode, we also show the growth of the other characters on the show when they talk about what side of the decision they come down on. Plus it was good to see Barry & Iris make the mature, seasoned call at the end without having to bring Joe & Cecile into it. Add to that the fact that it seems that we might finally get a proper, organized and coordinated Rogues Gallery, we're liking what we're seeing.

Speaking of liking what we're seeing, we also discuss the trailer for the Flash movie. When the fact that Ezra Miller makes a terrible Barry Allen doesn't ruin the trailer and still gives us a glimmer of hope, that should say something. The fact that the James Gunn era is here and we have hope says a lot.

Director: Peyton Reed

Writers: Jeff Loveness

Starring: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, Kathryn Newton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas

Runtime: 2 hour 5 minutes

Synopsis: Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, along with Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, explore the Quantum Realm, where they interact with strange creatures and embark on an adventure that goes beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania falls right in line with the other Ant-Man films with the one big distinction that it is Jonathan Major's MCU feature film debut as Kang and that alone is worth the price of a ticket (or several tickets). It seems that some folks have become confused with Marvel's approach to its films post-Infinity Saga. Basically they're not holding our hands and are going full comic book and that can be good or bad depending on what your expectations are. It's also very clear that you should be watching the Disney+ shows. Watching this film is definitely going to want to watch the first season of Loki again. Anyone who watched that last episode of Loki knew that Major's was going to kill it (literally and figuratively) as Kang and this film just solidifies it.

It's not a perfect film by any measure. But we think this is going to be one of those films that folks are going to go back to after the direction Phase 4 & Phase 5 have been going become more clear and have to reevaluate.

The Flash is back for it's final season and it's hard to think it's been 9 seasons. There have been some ups and downs but it still pretty remarkable to think this show has lasted so long. It's easy to dismiss it now in the days of Disney+, HBOMax and Prime Video series that have taken off. But for a network TV show about a superhero on a network like the CW that went beyond just being a superhero show in name only, it's done pretty well for itself. We talk about this first episode and what we expect from this 13-episode final season.

We also talk about the announcements for the new DC Universe that James Gunn made. It's easy to be skeptical of DC and these types of announcements that seem to happen around the same time every few years. But this time feels a bit different and we're daring to have a bit of hope. Not too much. Just a little bit.

Director: M. Knight Shyamalan

Writers: M. Knight Shyamalan, Steve Desmond, Michael Sherman

Starring: Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Rupert Grint, Kristen Cui

Runtime: 1 hour 40 minutes

Synopsis: While vacationing, a girl and her parents are taken hostage by armed strangers who demand that the family make a choice to avert the apocalypse.

Knock at the Cabin might be one of the best looking M. Knight Shyamalan movies from a cinematic points. It has all of the things that should make this a great film. The cast works really well with what they're given. The problem is, this movie doesn't have the M. Knight Shyamalan twist and flair that is really needed for this film. It's a shocking disappointment. This isn't a bad film at all. But it's feels like something that was perfectly made for an adaptation by M. Knight but is missing something. What we get is a pretty film with solid acting that just feeling shallow.

Were we insanely accurate about how Sunday's games? Of course we are, but that's not why you listen to these podcasts. Come for oddly prescient and poorly timed NFL picks, stay for the latest on Dana White's non-punishment for hitting his wife, Andruw Jones not being in the Hall of Fame and LIV Golf becoming network-mates with Riverdale. Plus, the grand opening and grand closing of Ed Reed as a college head coach.

Seriously though, what's a Horned Frog? The biggest win in college football bowl HISTORY, UGA took care of business on Monday and I get to be insufferable about it for the next eternity. First back to back champions of the playoff era proving the BCS was right and good, because that title game was watching someone try to fist fight an avalanche. Them Dawgs is hell, ain't they?
