這集我想從 Sex Sells 這句簡單的話，
延伸到香水的一切。

不知道你有沒有發現，很多廣告裡面
充斥著無所不在的「性」。

在香水的世界裡面更是如此。
也許並不是「性」本身，
但只要是和性相關的，
不管是性別、性吸引力，
或者性別角色，
都是香水廣告常見的敘事主軸。

秋天，
是我認為一個最被浪漫化，也最好將香水發揮出來的一個季節。
讓人放鬆，又產生一種不明的惆悵感。

是回憶的感覺吧，好久沒有這個氣味了，
上次聞到也大概是去年的這個時候。

那去年那時候我在做什麼呢？

對我來說有幾個味道，代表著秋天。
他們不管是適合這個溫度、適合這個情緒，
又或者他的味道就是讓我聯想到秋天的顏色和感覺。
那個抽象、旋渦一般的情緒。

我在九月的時候去了一趟新竹，
看了方方和玻璃藝術家陳建志的聯展
液態之夢 —— 香的輪廓。

相信如果是喜歡香水的，一定很難忽略方方的香水。
她的香水有一個特別的氣味特徵，是很多其他香水聞不到的。
許多味道在好聞、討喜的同時，又是能夠讓人驚喜，勾起一段情緒的。

今天這集，我想來聊聊近一年，慢慢流行起來的一個詞，quiet luxury。
在 google 的搜尋趨勢上來看，這個詞在今年的六月熱度來到最高點，是今年三月的十倍。
可以看出這是一個不可忽略，也是值得我們可以好好觀察的一個趨勢。

內容紀錄著作者三十年來為香水製造商、調香師奔波，找尋天然香材的過程。
他走訪世界各地、參與原料的製作過程，只為找尋他要的、且品質最好的香料。

在面對一瓶香水時，我們鮮少會將心思放在這些背後的故事上。
但也是藉由閱讀這本著作，我也更體認到這些背後的故事，以及每瓶香水背後所承載的歷史與故事。
