Multiversal Soldiers

Our Heroes bid a fond farewell to Conan and his companions as they wrap up their quest to take down Hissah Zul and his minions. The grog flows and the stories grow increasingly less and less impressive as we build up to a not-so climactic battle to free the realm...unfortunately the show goes on a few episodes too many and we end up with an out-of-order mess of episodes to end the season....and for some reason a clip-show! Grab a chunk of your favorite roasted meat and enjoy this hot greasy mess of a recap!

Our Heroes continue their month-long adventure into the world of Swords, Sandals, and Sorcery with Part 2 of the 1997 syndicated series: Conan The Adventurer. Our party of rag-tag adventurers build their bond over frivolous  side-quests, and prove their strength with some ridiculous fight choreography. Sit back like Hissah Zul, grab a bubbling beverage, and enjoy!

Our Heroes get lost in the dessert with 1997's syndicated series Conan The Adventurer. Ralph Moeller steps into Arnie's pre-greased loin cloth to bring new life to one of the most iconic characters in the Sword and Sorcery genre.  Join us as we follow Conan and his merry band of warriors as they hack and slash their way across the countryside.

Our Heroes ditch the high-flying lifestyle of the Human Target for a much more grounded version of super spy story in Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. David Hasselhoff stars as the titular Fury, seemingly the only man who could fill the tight leather pants before Samuel L. Jackson. Sit back and enjoy this 1998 TV movie that helped inform Marvel on what not to do in the MCU.

Our Heroes finally complete their toughest mission yet by completing their Human Target miniseries. This show is proof that all adaptations are not created equal, and perhaps not all comics deserve to be adapted. Join us as we cheerfully bid farewell to the world's worst spy and his team.

Our Heroes remain trapped on Christopher Chance's private jet as they are forced to decipher the meaning of 1992's Human Target. As the caliber of guest stars starts to take a dive, it becomes clear that this show has very few redeeming features. How did the creators of the 90's Flash series get this so wrong? More importantly, is Rick Springfield the worst spy ever?

Our Heroes find themselves stuck in a multiverse where soap/pop star Rick Springfield plays The Human Target, a covert operative turned bodyguard with a superhuman ability to get shot at. This short-lived ABC series adapts a DC back-up title that ran in the back of Superman and Batman stories, and it's clear to see why it didn't last.

Our Heroes take a  timeout between miniseries to thoroughly enjoy 1997's Superman-adjacent classic, Steel. Hot off the heals of the Death of Superman comic run, DC decided to let music legend Quincy Jones produce a passion project starring Shaquille O'Neal, Judd Nelson, and Annabeth Gish in a wheelchair.  Does Shaq have super powers in real life? Is this an unofficial Shaft movie? Why doesn't Judd Nelson play more creeps? We attempt to answer these questions and more, so sit back and enjoy!

Our Heroes bid a fond farewell to the underappreciated 2017 NBC sitcom Powerless by watching the final 4 episodes, including 3 that only ever aired in New Zealand. As the show continues to get better, the DC references go deeper and deeper.  Even though the show got cancelled too soon, it clearly helped open the door for shows like the Harley Quinn animated series.

Our Heroes continue to be impressed by super hero-ish workplace comedy Powerless. As the show builds momentum and finds its legs, it becomes apparent that clever writing, charming characters, and an ever increasing density of DC references weren't enough to save this series.
