This week on the Mumbrellacast, Hannah Blackiston sits down with Triple J breakfast hosts Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton to talk about their worst ever interview out at Mount Isa with a certain prolific Queensland Senator, and Breakfast on Breakfast – the best segment they have ever done. The pair also discussed their comparison to Hamish and Andy, and how much they really care about the radio ratings, if at all.

It was also a week of industry reports. PwC released its My Screen report, which was commissioned by Facebook, that looked into how Australians are currently consuming video content. The report was quickly pulled from circulation and the situation turned into a case of ‘He said, she said’ between its author, measurement companies, Facebook, PwC, and the TV networks. The Mumbrella team sits down to debrief on the situation and question whether an updated version can ever be taken seriously.

The ACCC dropped its final report from the Digital Platforms Inquiry. The team chats about the impact the ACCC’s recommendations will have on digital giants Facebook and Google, and the suggestion of an inquiry into media agencies.
