Abrimos con el repaso a los tres álbumes favoritos del mes de Mundofonías, con los trabajos del brasileño Kiko Dinucci, el griego Stratis Skarakis y la recopilación de músicas caboverdianas Cap-Vert: Un archipel de musiques. Seguimos por el Mediterráneo, recalando en Sicila y tierras ibéricas, para continuar con músicas jakasias desde el Asia Central y conexiones desde China con Siria, por un lado, y con Mali y Francia, por otro.

We start reviewing our three Mundofonías monthly favorite albums, including the last records by the Brazilian artist Kiko Dinucci, the Greek one Stratis Skarakis and the Cape-Verdean music compilation Cap-Vert: Un archipel de musiques. We continue sailing the Mediterranean, landing in Sicily and in Iberian lands, to continue with Jakasian music from Central Asia and some connections from China with Syria, on the one hand, and with Mali and France, on the other.

Repaso libre a la Transglobal World Music Chart del mes, confeccionada a través de la votación de un panel de divulgadores de las músicas del mundo de todos los continentes, del que los hacedores de Mundofonías somos cocreadores y coimpulsores. Este mes de mayo del 2020 el número uno lo ocupa, desde Macedonia del Norte, la Džambo Aguševi Orchestra.

A loose review of the Transglobal World Music Chart for this month, determined by a panel of world music specialists from all the continents of which the Mundofonías‘ presenters are co-creators and co-promoters. We travel across Scandinavia thanks to the band Groupa, among other artists, and their three last albums, dedicated to the folk music of Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Then we move to the Russian Federation, playing some tunes inspired by the Bashkir, Ashkenazi and Russian traditions.

Continuamos con otro griego, Stratis Skarakis, número 1 en la Balkan World Music Chart, en la que los dos hacedores de Mundofonías somos miembros del jurado, repasando algunos otros discos de esta lista y terminando con sonoridades celtas.

We review the three Mundofonías's favorite albums for April 2020, by the Tuvan band Tyva Kyzy, the reissue of "Baloutchistan: La tradition instrumentale" and the Greek band Evritiki Zygia. We move on with another Greek, Stratis Skarakis, charted number 1 at the Balkan World Music Chart, in which the Mundofonías makers are members of the jury. We review more albums from this chart and we end the show with some Celtic tunes.
