  • #89 The One With the Sweet Little Actress
Judith Barsi was born to parents Jozsef and Maria in the late 1970s. Both her parents were immigrants from Hungarian and her mother had high expectations that Judith would succeed in Hollywood.
And she did. At the age of 5, Judith was cast in her first commercial and by the age of 8, she had appeared in more than 70 commercials and numerous TV shows including Cheers, Growing Pains, and more.
Her mother was forever supportive but Joe wasn’t. He was jealous that his child took care of the family because he drank too much and when Judith purchased a $100,000 home, he went overboard with blaming his 10 year old for his shortcomings.
Joe began constantly threatening to kill himself or harm his wife and child, if they decided that life was better without him. This continued and Joe’s jealously only grew worse once Judith landed two large roles at the age of 10, The Land Before Time and All Dogs Go to Heaven.
Around the same time, Joe also found out that Maria was attempting to leave him for good, which he was going to do everything in his power to prevent, even if it ended in someone’s death.
