Shonda lost her father a little while ago and she booked a session with Karen so she could reconnect and perhaps get some closure. It was a rocky relationship, one Shonda was working diligently to set boundaries around and then he died.

Well, her father Jason has a lot to say about both his life and his death if Shonda is open to hearing it.
