In the early nineteen seventies the sleepy college town of Santa Cruz, California, previously famous for surfing and a boardwalk, was plunged into chaos when a mass killer and two separate serial killers began leaving corpses and body parts strewn throughout the beaches and redwoods, earning the town the monicker of The Murder Capital of the World.

Today we take a look at mass murderer John Linley Frazier, how psychosis and drugs abuse led a wannabe hippie on a crusade to save the earth to annihilate the family of an esteemed eye surgeon.

We also examine the history of Santa Cruz and how it mimicked the social upheavals of the nineteen sixties as the culture shifted from conservative nineteen-fifties thinking to more liberal ways and the violence that erupted with this clash, including the murder spree of the Manson Family.

Hop aboard, as we take a trip to Santa Cruz, California, Murder Capital of the World Part One: John Linley Frazier THE KILLER PROHPHET!!!

We are delighted to welcome author and journalist Dan Slatter, who is here to discuss his new book, The Incorruptibles.

This riveting work takes a deep dive into the Jewish criminal underworld of New York City in the 1910s, a realm teeming with gambling dens, prostitution, pickpockets, loan sharks, King Pimps and the Queen of Fences. It exposes a world of coke fiends, junkies, horse poisoners, the Yiddish Black Hand, and the seedy allure of sex, drugs, and ragtime music.

Amidst this vice and corruption, The Incorruptibles also highlights the brave men and women who stood up to these Jewish crime syndicates, earning their reputation as the incorruptibles.

How Donald ‘Pee Wee’ Gaskins Terrorized 1970s South Carolina (allthatsinteresting.com)

PEE WEE GASKINS, a name infamous in the annals of true crime.

He was called the meanest man in America, and the redneck Charles Manson. He drove a hearse and had his own graveyard where he’d dispose of victims, victims he’d poisoned, shot, stabbed, strangled, drowned bludgeoned, even using explosives to blow a man’s head off in the most unlikely of places. He killed men, he killed women, he even killed children, including a two-year-old infant.

At the end of his life he’d claim to be a sex crazed serial killer and confess to over a hundred murders, though most of them are believed to be fabricated, but there can be no denying those buried on his land and those he later led police to.

Yes, there is no doubt that Pee Wee Gaskins was a stone-cold killer, and that a minimum of fifteen people had met their end through his hands. But he was a self-confessed liar and master manipulator, and like most psychopaths, used a litany of masks to hide his true nature, making it quite difficult to differentiate fact from fiction, and ever understanding who the true Pee Wee Gaskins was.

So, we are going to take an interesting approach, and view him from the eyes of two writers who were hired to write his life story, and the two very different versions of his life and crimes they were given.

Today we present to you Part One of the Pee Gaskins Story: Pee Wee and Mr Jim.

Today we are thrilled to have author, journalist and true crime legend Jillian Lauren with us.

For over two years Jillian Lauren interviewed murderer Samuel Little, developing a deep relationship with him, through which she was not only able to solve cold homicide cases, but also revealed Little to be the most prolific serial killer in American History, the FBI themselves now confirming over sixty murders.

For decades this monster, that Jillian bravely confronted, roamed the country, from coast to coast, seeking out marginalized women and strangling them to death, many of his crimes never linked together.

Jillian turned her experiences into the book BEHOLD THE MONSTER: CONFRONTING AMERICA’S MOST PROLIFIC SERIAL KILLER, an amazing addition to the true crime genre, and her story was also turned into the Starz television series CONFRONTING A SERIAL KILLER.

Among all the notorious serial killers who dominated headlines in the 1970s and 1980s, none were as prolific and cunning as Samuel Little, infamously known as the "Choke and Stroke Killer.”

Similar to Joseph DeAngelo, the notorious Golden State Killer, Little continued his reign of terror well into old age, evading capture until the 2010s when advancements in DNA technology finally led to his apprehension.

However, unlike Joseph DeAngelo, Samuel Little's criminal activities were not entirely clandestine. He had been suspected and even arrested for numerous sexual assaults and murders over the years. The baffling question of how and why he was repeatedly released, allowing him to claim the lives of potentially 93 women over a span of thirty-five years, paints a grim picture of societal neglect and indifference towards marginalized communities.

The narrative of Samuel Little's life and eventual confession is so bizarre it's hard to believe, delving into realms of darkness and depravity that defy comprehension. In the first installment of our series, we delve into the enigmatic journey of Samuel Little, a figure who etched his name in infamy as the most prolific serial killer in American history.
