Murder, Mystery and Mayhem Laced with Morality

The authors of the new biblical fiction novel, Ahoti discuss their friendship across religious differences and their partnership in writing.

Miriam was born in Trenton, New Jersey, and has lived in Israel since 1970. Her love affair with the Bible and ancient sources led to her series of books on daily life in Bible times, her first historical novel The Scroll, her newest novel Ahoti – The Story of Tamar, with co-author Eva Marie Everson, and hundreds of articles. That love grew over many years as a tour educator. Miriam’s interest in the New Testament began with the respect that she learned for people of all faiths and cultures from her parents and her older brother and sister. Her writing, and her translating and editing of scholarly research on biblical antiquity on the one hand, and her 20 years as a translator on the news desk of the cutting-edge Israeli daily Haaretz, on the other, come together in a complex whole that, for Miriam, has made life in Israel a never-ending search for meaning, ever more so in troubled times.

Eva Marie Everson is a multiple-award winning author and speaker who hails from the picturesque Southern town of Sylvania, Georgia. She is CEO of Word Weavers International (http://www.word-weavers.com/) and the director of Florida Christian Writers Conference (http://word-weavers.com/floridaevents). She enjoys coaching new authors through her company, Pen in Hand. Eva Marie and her husband make their home in Central Florida. They are the parents of three fabulous

children who have blessed them with the world’s greatest grandchildren.

Brian has spent his career in intelligence and national security beginning with his time as a decorated Air Force Intelligence officer and through his many years as a senior executive in the aerospace and defense industry. Brian was encouraged to write the story of The Able Archers by many friends who convinced him that his unique, personal insight could bring the story to life of how humanity narrowly avoided extinction in the fall of 1983. His writing is based on first-hand experience and the stories of the many intriguing people he’s encountered over the years.

Brian grew up in Virginia and is married to Tracy, who is an outstanding story editor. They split their time between homes in Virginia and Florida. When Brian isn’t writing, he is a corporate board member, enjoys cycling, playing guitar and piano, and visiting with his two grandchildren.

Ann lives in the beautiful Northern Arizona mountains with her clever husband (Sam Lucky, with whom she co-authors The Deadwood Undertaker series), charming children, and incredibly sassy cats. After many years and several colleges, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English with an emphasis on creative writing from the University of Washington.

Her books are character-driven, mixed-genre adventures full of mystery and mayhem, comedy and spice, and whatever else feels right to her. Ann has written a bunch of contemporary, award-winning novels in multiple series full of quirky characters with whom she loves to spend time. Right now, while you’re reading this, she’s probably frolicking around in another story or running from some creepy supernatural villain she conjured in the middle of the night.

Ann has been a member of several writer groups in the past, including Romance Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and Western Writers of America; however, currently she’s hanging out with Novelists, Inc (NINC) and soaking up all she can about writing and marketing books. Who knows what other groups she’ll join next in her effort to grow her craft and business skills? She’s always trying to improve and find more people who share her sense of humor.

While her reading preferences range from adventure to horror to western and mystery, since trying on herfirst training bra, she has loved a good mix of romance, too.

When Ann is not dabbling in fiction, she’s chatting it up on various podcasts and radio shows, as well as hanging out at various book-related conferences, making new friends and sharing what she has learned over the years about the writing craft and marketing
