a very short poetry on the soft and gentle breeze that touches you in the monsoon rain while the delicate and fragile droplets of fine sleet kiss away your nostalgic moods as it stirs up a storm of your memories that never seem to be washed away no matter how boldly the thunder showers may fall.

A small reminiscence of our childhood days when we felt our summer vacations being ruined year after year by our uncle's strict time table designed specifically that we didn't waste all our time but invested in some serious studies even in the holidays. Back then we were too small to value or appreciate the good intentions of our Uncle. But now, we realise the magnanimous impact that summer learning and discipline had on us. Often we value things and people once that time or the passes is no more. 

You may not believe that most people of our social circle and so called friends whom we believe we can count on are all FAKE, until the time you fall into a pit and you can see them no where around you. Leave alone pitching in for help, they won't even ask how you are doing. So it brings us back to the basic fact that expectations are bad. You are on your own - the faster you learn this fact , the better you will feel about the social circle that pretends to be on your side always. There is this hindi film song - waqt insaan pe jab kabhi aata hai, rah mein chhod saaya bhi chala jaata hai. So if your shadow itself is going to abandon you then know that it is your God, your truth and your family and perhaps two or three genuine trustworthy friends who are with you as your support. Trust no one , believe no one - all have an agenda and all are selfish. Now the struggle is to funnel the real from the fake and that is the interesting and most intriguing part of the remaining journey. 

With the on going polarised wave of intolerance, hatred, violence and fear, the secular fabric of the nation is at threat. A country known for its unity in diversity, its brotherhood and solidarity, is taking a sharp turn into division, abuse and disrespecting the faith of others. While every religion preaches love and peace, where are the seeds of animosity being fed. Though states, regions, culture, tradition, outfits, language, religion and food may be different, have we forgotten that it is our own motherland we are talking about. It still remains ONE big nation where all Indians continue to be our brothers and sisters. It is easier to spread venom but difficult to spread harmony. Let us rise above these petty issues which divides us further into fragments and finally destroys us. The time has come to re establish the spirit of oneness and integrity.
