Whenever you want to talk about something about the future then you will need to use the simple future tense in your sentences. Ex - We shall visit Delhi next week. Rohan will prepare his speech tonight. For this tense you will need will / shall + verb 1 ie ., will go, shall tell, will cook, shall help

Here is a list of a few words which happen to be very commonly mispronounced. Today we shall listen the incorrect and correct way of saying these words. You may first write down all these words in your notebook and then repeat the correct way to pronounce them one by one. You will get it right when you repeat the words correctly. You may have to pause and play the podcast as per your convenience and speed. Make sure to say these words correctly next time.

Welcome once again to my Spotify channel of Podcasts on improving Spoken English and today we are going to study the Past Perfect Tense of grammar. We use this tense to express an action that was completed in the past. We use had + verb 3 for this . Ex - had seen , had woken, had watched

Last night I had gone to bed early.

Yesterday we had gone to visit our old friends.

Make sure you pause and play the podcast to suit your pace and timing. It is very important to use a notebook and pen to make your notes and to do the given assignments and exercises given for practice. The most important thing is to read your sentences and responses aloud for practice Spoken English.

Whenever we want to describe any action that was going on in the past , we use the Past Continuous Tense. For this we use was/were + verb + ing = was running, were playing, was cooking , were teaching . Remember to keep a notebook alongside whenever you are listening to these podcasts. This will help you to register better all that you learn in each episode. It will also help you to recap the content of each episode. Make sure you read your responses aloud and practise the assignments on a daily basis for quicker and better results and fluency. This will also boost your speech and flow of Spoken English.

The simple past tense requires the second form of the verbs to express any action or work done in the past.

Ex - saw, went , threw, became, brought

I saw you at the party.

He went away early yesterday.

I threw the garbage in the dustbin.

It became very cold suddenly.

Grandma brought me some homecooked food.

EPISODE 4- The present perfect tense is used to describe an action completed in the recent past. For this we use has/have + Verb3 ( participle form or perfect form of the verb ). Examples - I have prepared my speech. Raghu has written a poem. Follow the podcast closely, practise the assignments given, listen to it over and over again, pause and play it at your own speed and NO need to rush it up and overspeed. Give it time. You know best. But speak aloud while doing the verbal exercises. Read what you have written and repeat what is being said to open up your speech and add clarity to your voice. Only then will you get confident and fluent.

The present continuous tense enables the speaker to express actions which are operating at the current moment, verbs which are being done now and actions that are being performed at the same time as the speaker is speaking. For this we use the structure is/am/are+verb+ing

He is having a bath.

They are watching a film.
