My favourite composition based on C. The drums did have tones but everything else was just C. I used my piano and cello and synth.

We hear this so often that it has become a bit like a chocolate box lid but I still like playing it because it is quite easy, even at speed.
My students always want to learn it and it is often the piano work that creates a desire to play in young people, so don't knock it down too quickly.

I loved working with the brass section for this gig. It is so well suited I think to brass and woodwinds too.

I came across this incredibly sensitive score some time ago and was captivated by the groove. I think it feels wonderfully idle and I listened to my performance of it over and over.

It is an absolute joy to play.
