Music Crush Monday

Welcome back to another THRILLING episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! We know that you look forward to these episodes each and every Monday and trust me, we are happy to help you get you through your day and week!

This week Kevin brings another old-time favorite to the podcast and shows us all a band that had some great success. The band has a unique sound that most people can pick out just by the sound of the singer’s voice. Can Steve pick this band out or does he have trouble picking this one out of the crowd?

Kevin tells the story in this episode of not being a fan of this band at all when he first heard them and saw them live. After giving their second (and most successful) album a good listen, he couldn’t deny how much he enjoyed the band and their music. He followed their career as they slowly released albums but Kevin has no issues just throwing on their first couple of albums and cranking the volume. It is a fun band to listen to when you want to mix things up.

If you didn’t know by now, all of our contact information is below and if you would like to reach out to us and tell us the bands you enjoy listening to now that you didn’t like in the past please do so! It is that time again! Go ahead and check the clock, yep, it is Monday and time for another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! This week Steve is up picking the band and music! No games being played this week! Straight to business!

History was almost made this week as the band was figured out ALMOST as fast as Steve figured out a band Kevin picked waaaay back in Episode 30 (Click HERE to listen to that episode, when you are done with this one of course….) Not to spoil the fun or anything but Kevin gets the band and both hosts are pumped to talk about this week’s selection. A band with an interesting vocalist who puts out nothing but pure emotion. It is easy to get sucked into what he is feeling and it makes the music that much more enjoyable.

Go check out the links below for the band that was featured this week as well as all of our contact links. Reach out to us and let us know what you thought of the band and let us know what bands we should play on this show! It would be amazing to get a listener’s suggestion and you can hear our reaction on the episode. So what are you waiting for?? Get to it!

Thank you for joining us this week and as always, we will see you next Monday!

Welcome back to the Music Crush Monday Podcast! This week Kevin is up with music selection and puts the disclaimer out there to make sure the kids put on those earmuffs!

Kevin reaches back a little bit to his roots and shows Steve some underground music that he is fond of. This week’s artist has an interesting career because when it wasn’t working out for him and the record label, he took his own career in his hands and that is when things started to really take off! With some interesting choice of words and lyrical content, this music is aggressive and may not be for everyone but if you have an ear for this style of music, you should hear the talent and go check out more music by this artist!

Reach out to us and let us know what you think of this week’s selection! We have all of our contact information below and look forward to hearing from you! If you could also check out our Patreon page and support the podcast, that would be amazing. Suggest some of your personal favorite music to us as well so we can even play those artists on the show. Thank you for joining this week and as always, we’ll see you next Monday!

It is Monday and we all know the drill around here! A band is chosen, music is played, we discuss it, you listen, form your own opinions, and then reach out to us and let us know your thoughts. That is what happens right? Well, Kevin has picked the music this week and openly admits the first song is not what you think of when you hear this band. Tune in to check this one out.

So this was not meant to piggyback on last week’s episode but there is a similar theme. What is interesting is Kevin was thinking about this band quite a bit and the impact they had on him but the impact the singer had on this world. Then hearing the story of the singer of Frightened Rabbit it just triggered that it was also time to share a band with a similar result. There needs to be a silver lining in the darkest of times and that is where the music helps. Even if the lyrics are sad when you zoom out and notice their situation, it still helps you cope or helps you get through your own issues.

You read that title right! This week the “L” word has been spoken in regards to this week’s band. Steve is reaching back and showing us all a band that he has been very into for many years, tune in to give them a listen!

A very interesting point to this band is the lyrical content and how transparent the vocalist is about his depression. Music is a great outlet for getting out emotions or your innermost thoughts. Whether this band wanted to do that to help others relate to them or if it was something that seemed to help him out. Unfortunately, the fight was lost on this one and all of his lyrical woes came to light. As sad as it is, the music lives on and hopefully helps others along the way.

If you are feeling down and suicidal please reach out to someone! You can reach out to us even! Just see the contact info below to find us and we will be here to listen. You could also call the Suicide Hotline - 1-800-273-8255 Just know that you are not alone!

We are back with a new episode and Kevin is in charge of picking the music this week! Tune in to find out what happens!

It has been mentioned many times before of the “lists” Kevin and Steve have of bands and every so often the band is picked randomly but Kevin mixed it up by adding in the “check out these bands further” into the generator. This episode is running on pure adrenaline! What does Steve think of the music this week and what do you think of the music this week?

The good news this week is Kevin has already checked this band out quite a bit! So much that the band should have been moved to the list to do an episode on. As mentioned quite a bit previously this style of music has been jamming through Kevin’s speakers for a couple of years now as in almost a “missing out” feeling. What was not liked before has been heavily rotated now. This week’s band has quite a few albums and it is always fun when discovering a band that there is plenty of material to go through and the best part is being able to take your time to go through that material.

Reach out to us with any of the contact information below to let us know what bands you have discovered that you grasped on to and sifted through their material.
