Music Crush Monday

Welcome back to another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! We have an exciting week up for you as Steve digs back to another important band in his musical journey. Listen in as he gives the band’s history and what important role they have played. Also, listen in as a spontaneous guest spot jumps in for a minute!

Isn’t it awesome how you can love a band growing up but then almost “move on” from a band but the second you put them back on you remember it all? What part of your brain remembers lyrics from 20 years ago? It is pretty incredible. For whatever reason, if a band helped shape your musical taste do not let go of that band because if anything it will bring back nothing but fond memories. What bands do you listen to that have that nostalgic feel? It would be awesome to hear from you all and to just see the diversity in favorite bands and musical taste! So don’t be shy, all of our contact information is listed below and we would seriously love to hear from you. We love to talk music, so lets talk music!

Thanks again for tuning in this week and as always, we will see you next Monday! Woooooo!!

This week the guys decided to tweak the format. There are many mentions of friend Steve Smith on this podcast who is mostly referred to as “Other Steve” and Kevin was talking music with Other Steve one day and a band was suggested to check out. So Kevin decided to check the band out for the first time while recording an MCM episode! One of the biggest reasons this podcast started was to share music with each other and this episode is taking that even one little step further. Listen in as the guys listen to this band together and hear their thoughts on the music!

There have been many mentions about suggesting music to listen to for the podcast and for the guys to check out. If you liked this format of the show then why not continue to do it! Reach out to the MCM crew and suggest some music to check out! All of the contact information is listed below so do not be shy! If you have been listening to the podcast for some time you would know that the music taste can vary so don’t hold back! Pass along your favorites and lets get this music out to the world! Welcome back to another brand new episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! Each week we take turns talking about a band that one of us personally loves and this week Steve is doing just that! Tune in and listen to this band and their story. What do you think? What will Kevin think? The anticipation is just too much to bear!

There are times in life when music brings you to an emotional state, reminds you of a specific time in your life, a time to love, a time to laugh, and a time to have some fun! If you take the time to read these show notes each you will probably recall that the phrase “Music is beautiful” is mentioned quite a bit. Well, this is a time to have some fun! This band is unique and has a cool thing going for them. They have a specific “shtick” and they do it well. It is also very well documented that usually a gimmick band isn’t high on Kevin’s list but learning that each album that is released has a theme he feels it is nothing short of brilliant. Tune in to hear the reaction and to hear Steve break this band’s history down.

Let us know what you think of this week’s episode and of the music! Do not forget to check out our social media links and ways to contact us. We would love to hear from you so please lets have a conversation! Also, check out our patreon page to see how you could support us even more than you do now! Thank you very much for tuning in and as always, we’ll see you next Monday!

Welcome back to another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! This week is a fun one where Kevin is presenting a band that he goes pretty far back on. Kevin references the spring episode where Steve played an artist that reminds him of spring or summer when driving the car with the windows down. Well now it is Kevin’s turn! Check out the song to see if it is something that you would blast in your car. Big question of the episode, would Steve do the same?

Kevin admits that this band changed A LOT of things for him musically. Which this band has probably done that for a lot of people. They opened a lot of doors for him and he will always look back at this band with fondness. Even if he doesn’t listen to them nearly as much as he initially did it is still a band he will list as influential. This week’s band has had a long career of success and really broke a lot of ground when they first hit the scene.

What band was one that affected you in a big way? Bands can shape your musical tastes in a positive or negative way. Reach out to us to tell us which bands have done that to you, positive or negative. All of our contact information is below as well as our Patreon page. This week Steve had the chance to sit down with Sara(virtually of course). SO no Kevin this week, but he'll be back next week for an all-new episode. Sara showed Steve a band she recently discovered and was just dying to show him. We’ve been seeing a trend more recently on this podcast where we’re finding new music and just need to immediately share it with each other. Enjoy this band, and we’ll see you next week!

We would love to hear from you and get into discussions about the music we are reviewing on this podcast. Tell us what bands you would love to hear on this podcast! Maybe it is a band neither of us know or even one we can try to get as a guest! We won’t know what you would like to hear until you tell us, so don’t be shy!

Thank you for joining us this week and as always, we will see you next Monday!

This episode is full of great conversation about an underappreciated genre, SKA! Mattie is really a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all forms of Ska, and he really brings it.

Welcome back to the Music Crush Monday Podcast! We hope you are all doing well and being safe. We really hope you are enjoying these episodes each and every Monday!

This Monday is no different, Kevin presents yet another band and to him, this is a fun band that has some hardcore punk, hardcore, metalcore and whatever other cores you can think of. It is a loud band that he throws on when he is in the mood for something faster paced and heavy. This band was discovered when he went to a live show and they were an opening act. We’re not sure why but opening bands don’t always stick out but every once in awhile it happens. This band sucked him in with a high energy show and how tight they were. After all, is said and done, what will Steve think? Sometimes a heavier band hits his rotation. Will this be one of them?
