Music Crush Monday

Spring is in the air! The snow has melted, the grass is turning green, the birds are chirping and Baseball is…..was supposed to start… We certainly hope you are all hanging in there and trying to make the best of this pandemic. The good news is music will never go away and there are times when music brings us so much comfort. We certainly hope that this podcast is bringing you an escape even if it is just for a little bit once a week!

We all have those bands or artists that flood back memories or feelings. This week Steve shows us a personal favorite of his that is blasted on the car radio when it is nice enough to roll the windows down. A favorite album of his through and through. What will Kevin think this week? More importantly, what do you think? Reach out to us below and let us know what band or album you have that rings in the turn of a new season or that just brings you right back to an important time in your life. We say it all the time, music is so beautiful and it is how we have 100+ episodes already done with more to go! We want to thank you again for joining us this week and as always we will see you next Monday!

We certainly hope you are all safe and healthy out there as we continue to shelter in from the public. That doesn’t mean we can’t have a special guest on our podcast! This episode features Cream from the band Northlander and Fallstar. He joins us from the Pacific Northwest and shows us one of his favorite bands.

There’s a great conversation on the beauty of music and the effect it can have on people and part of that is influenced by those around you. Cream talks about how supportive his parents are of his love for music. So much so his Dad would drive him and his friends to concerts and wait for him outside until it was complete. How amazing is that? As we go through who the band is and how they made an impact on Cream, we get to hear some cool stories involving that. He also talks about the time he got to play a show with the featured band of the episode.

Be sure to support music you love right now! It is important to give to these bands at a time like this. If you are able to support your favorite artists, please do so! Go check out Cream’s bands Northlander and Fallstar. Buy some merch, stream their music, spread the word! The music community is very special and during these crazy times and it is apparent that is still the case. Keep it up!

Follow the links below to support the band and to support this podcast. Reach out to us via social media! Let's talk music! Tell us your favorite bands to listen to or even tell us who you would love to hear as a special guest on this podcast! Thanks for listening and as always we will see you next Monday!

Happy Monday! First off, we hope that everyone listening to this episode is happy, healthy and safe! Unfortunately, these are some confusing times in the world but if we all do our part hopefully this won’t last as long as it could!

Good news though, there is more time to record this podcast! We really hope that in the midst of all the madness out there that our podcast can bring you some joy each week. If you are all caught up and want to hear MORE from the MCM world, join our Patreon for as little as $1 a month and you get access to a secret RSS feed that will bring you even more episodes!

This week Kevin is presenting the band and he specifically chose this band because the first song played on the episode has been stuck in his head since this quarantine started. He even openly admits that he has never LOVED this band but grew an appreciation for them. This band has been mentioned on previous episodes and their style kind of fits what road Kevin likes to drive on! Is Steve carpooling this week? Tune in to find out!

Reach out to us via social media and let’s talk music! While we are inside the house for an extended period of time we might as well get to know each other! Thanks for joining us this week and as always, we’ll see you next Monday!

How are you all doing on this Monday morning?? No, like seriously, how are you doing? Are you self-quarantining? Are you practicing social distancing? We’re living in some crazy times, but we all need to come together and just hang tight! What better way to pass the time if you’re stuck in the house than to listen to this latest episode and any of our past episodes! This week Steve presents a band he’s pretty excited about showing Kevin, even though he thinks it won’t be Kevin’s thing.

Sometimes it’s hard to love so many different bands. Sometimes you have to accept that not everyone is going to be into them to the same degree as you like them. Don’t let that deter you, just love what you love, and be you. We seriously hope you all stay safe, and be smart! We’ll see you next Monday!

Well, well, well…. We meet again! Welcome back to another MCM episode where we show a band you never heard of...or maybe you love them? Or hate them? So many possibilities! Either way, Kevin shows off the band this week and he’s pumped to show Steve. The past couple “Kevin Episodes” were bands he was into when he was younger. The olden days, the golden times. This week he decided to pull out his list of bands and present one that was the latest edition to it.

This band is opening a tour that Kevin really wants to go to and that is where the journey started. It took some time and even a little convincing but the more and more he listened to this band the more he liked it. Why wait to share the news then? Kevin compares this band to Thrice, Circa Survive, and The Dear Hunter (all of which were covered on this podcast at one time) Do you agree? Disagree? Let us know what you think. All of our contact information is below, do not hesitate to reach out to us! While you are checking out the links to contact us don’t pass up checking out the Patreon page either! If you love this podcast and want to support it further, please go check that page out! Enjoy! Hug a friend, and call your parents! We’ll see you next Monday.

Happy Monday and Welcome to the 99th episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! This is another week where Kevin presents the band and he decides to continue to reach back to the early 2000’s to a band that was pretty popular in their respective genre. Turns out this band is related to Steve! Will he guess the band correctly? Tune in to see what happens, and see how the band is related to Steve!

Let us know what you think of the band this week and their style. This was a band that had some minor success in the mainstream but in their scene they were well known and respected. They offered some industrial elements plus very low drop tuning in their guitars to make them stand out a little different than the rest. What are your thoughts? Reach out to us, all of our contact information is below. We want to hear what you think so don’t be shy! Be sure to give our podcast a rating and review on Apple Podcasts. Also, check out our Patreon page if you are able and willing to support us with your cold hard cash! Thanks for your support and we will see you next Monday!

Steve is up this week and he’s SO excited to bring the podcast some more music for your ears to listen to! Here is the question though, will you be as excited as Steve is by the end of this episode? Probably not, but you will have to listen to hear why that is.

A lot of things in life happen for a reason, this episode and Steve’s stories show us that yet again. When you’re a music fan there can be a million different things in life that can prevent you from seeing a band that you love live. Most of the time you just have to accept that and just truly understand it’s a bummer. Things can pay off though, say the band gets back together and are playing in your town, would you go? Of course, you would! It is that childlike excitement that makes being a music fan so worth it.

What bands are you really into that you missed the boat on seeing live? Reach out to us! Our contact information is below, do not be shy! We don’t bite! Well…. Kevin’s dog might, but Steve and Kevin don’t! Thank you again for joining us and as always we’ll see you next Monday!

We are at it again! This week Kevin is digging back into the early 2000’s again to play a band he had a deep love for! So many personal stories in this episode that even if you do not enjoy the music you may enjoy hearing the stories. At one point this was one of those bands that Kevin would shout from the rooftops. Things kind of took a 180 with this band in their later years for him. Have you ever been so into a band that later on you just couldn’t anymore? Have you ever been part of a Message Board community? Thanks for joining us this week, we will see you next Monday!

Kevin didn’t do the show notes…..again. So you get me...2020 Steve. Like the band don’t like the band, it's not going to change me. I’ve liked this band for far too long to stop enjoying them. Maybe you’ll hear something surprising, maybe you’ll envision yourself dancing on clouds or sliding down rainbows? Maybe you’ll love it, maybe you’ll hate, but either way, it’s music that I love.
