Music Crush Monday

Welcome back to another exciting episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast!  We are back with another band to listen to.  Maybe you have heard this band before?  Maybe not?  Either way, in this episode you get two opportunities to hear this band’s music.  So go check this one out!

Kevin is in the hot hot seat this week as he is presenting the band.  He is going with a pretty well known and successful pop punk band.  Are you surprised?  Or is this what you have come to expect from Kevin.  This band actually goes back quite a few years as he discovered them on MTV2 at some late night music video rotation.  That's right, there was a time in our history where music videos were actually played and sometimes that is how you discovered new bands and music!  The band reached pretty much immediate success and played in the Warped Tour scene to headline their own tours.  With the vocalist having a strong voice and personality that they were a strong influence in the scene.

Let us know what you think of the band this week and if you were ever a fan of this band or are just discovering them for the first time?  All of our contact information is listed down below.  Message us, follow us on social media, or check out patreon page!  There are SO many options!  Thank you for joining us this week and as always, we will see you next Monday!  Woooo!!!

It is that time again for another new episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast!  Today is also the first day of summer so happy summer to you all!  It will be a summer to remember as last year’s summer in 2020 has basically been erased from memory and now that things are opening back up, let's have some fun!  Obviously, still do your best to take proper precautions when needed but having some normalcy again is awesome!

This week we have decided to do one of the fun split episodes where we pick something that we have recently discovered or play some new music from an artist we like.  Kevin is picking a song from a long time favorite in Nonpoint as they have some exciting new things going on in their world.  Steve plays a recent discovery from a band called We Are The Union and their latest album has been stuck on Steve’s rotation.

Both very different songs and bands but that is what makes this whole thing so great, hopefully it gives each listener something they can enjoy.  Don’t forget to give our social media pages a follow and to rate and subscribe to our podcast.  It is the easiest and cheapest way to support the show!  Thank you for taking time out of your Monday to listen to us talk some music and as always, we will see you next Monday!

Hello and welcome back to yet ANOTHER new episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! Each and every week we bring you one band and play two songs by the band (most of the time!) but we don't tell you who it is before the music is played. That way you can get an honest listen of the band without having a preconceived thought.

Speaking of not saying who the band is, Steve is up this week and leaving it completely up to the fate of Spotify to decide the band and music for him. What will the end result be? What will Kevin think of the band this week?  Will Steve stick to the song that Spotify chooses for him?  So many questions that need to be answered!  Tune in to find out!

Don't forget to check out the links to our social media pages and our patreon page! Easiest way to support this podcast is to give us a like and subscribe and to share it with everyone you know! Interact with us on social media, we would love to have a conversation with you about the bands we are discussing or if there is a band you like that you want us to talk about.  Anything is on the table!  Thanks for joining us this week and we will see you next Monday! Wooooo!

Check the calendar, it is Monday and we are back with another new episode!  This week Kevin is showing yet another band and is ready to go with two songs.  So much preparation this week!  Tune in to find out what you think of the band and hear Steve’s thoughts as well.

Going back to a heavier band this week, this is one that has some mixture of heavy vocals, clean vocals, breakdown riffs, and even electronics.  It seems adding some synth to heavier music is the modern “Metalcore” sound.  Going way back to the beginning of this podcast the whole “genre” discussion comes into play where you don't really want to pigeonhole a band for what they sound like but it is also necessary to describe what the band sounds like.  Kevin also brings up this bands lead singer as he has a side project that is kind of worth checking out as it is very different from the band that he is in but his voice is great and hearing him do a different style of music is great.

Check the links below to discover more on the band and to check out all of our contact links to social media.  We certainly hope you enjoyed this week’s episode and as always, we’ll see you next Monday!

Helloooooooo!  Its that time again!  You know the drill by now don’t you?  If you don’t, there is nothing to worry about because it is so easy!  A certain band is picked, two of their songs are selected, but the mention of the band name is not revealed until after the first song is played.  Why do we do this?  We want you to take the opportunity to actually listen to a song instead of worrying about who is performing it and maybe, just maybe you’ll find something you will enjoy!

This week, Steve picked the band, he chose the music, and the guys have a great discussion about it.  This week’s band is one Steve has liked for quite some time as they made his ultimate list of bands to cover on this podcast.  The fun question is always posed when what will the other host of the show think of the band and music?  You’ll have to tune in to find out!

The band this week was signed to Myspace Records which is kind of funny to think that Myspace had a record label!  You all remember Myspace right?  No?  Some of you might not be old enough to remember that.  One funny tidbit that is pretty great is per this band’s Wikipedia page, it says that the band was signed to Myspace records but announced their break up via Facebook.  Oh the irony!

Also, we wanted to take the time to thank all of the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to their country as this episode is being released on Memorial Day.  The courage it takes to be in the military and willing to put your life on the line for this country will never be taken for granted.

Thank you for joining us this week and as always, we’ll see you next Monday!

Hello and welcome back to another brand new episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast!  We are happy to bring you some more music to check out this week and of course, having a fun conversation along the way.  This week Kevin is presenting the band and there is no way for sure to know if Steve is able to guess the band without listening so here we go!

The band this week was never really on Kevin’s “official” list and he didn’t have full intention on playing them on this podcast but after hearing their new album, he was inspired.  Funny enough, after digging back in their catalog he realized that he liked this band more than he remembered!  So that is how they made it on the show.  Being impressed with their latest work, he will now have to dig back and listen to the albums he totally missed as the band kind of fell off his radar.

We want to hear from you!  Tell us some bands/artists that you love to listen to or that you forgot that you loved to listen to them.  It is fun making a list so make us a top 5 of your favorite bands so we can check them out!  Reach out to us through any forms of contact listed below, we look forward to talking music with you!  Check out our patreon page and support the podcast any way you can!  Thanks for joining us this week and as always, we’ll see you next Monday!

Hello and welcome back to a brand new episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast!  This is the podcast where two friends listen and discuss a band that one of them loves, this week Kevin brought the band, the stories, and the music.  So sit back, take a listen, and let us know what you think!

Kevin decided to pull from his “bands to listen to more” list this week and was hoping that Steve would enjoy it!  It is a smaller band on a small label but the talent is there!  Sometimes, it’s exciting to discover these bands as it almost seems like you are finding a diamond in the rough!  This band started out as a side project and turned into a full time gig.  It is a one man show but has hired help when doing live shows.  It is exciting that there is still good music out there to discover and thanks to things like Spotify, that can be accomplished.

What bands are you into that not many people know about?  Let us know!  Reach out to us so we can check it out because it might be someone we haven’t heard about either.  All of our contact information is below so do not be shy!  Thank you again for joining us this week and we’ll see you next Monday!

Happiest of Monday wishes to you all!  We are back with another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast!  This week Steve is up and is playing some random music again!  Is this a top 10 band for Steve?  Or is it a band he wasn’t intending to showcase on the podcast?  Tune in to find out!

Steve seems satisfied with the selection that was made for him and the band even had some success!  It could be one of those bands that has a random song that plays on the radio or that you hear while shopping at the store and you didn’t know it.  It is funny when that happens when you are a fan of a band that isn’t known in the mainstream but has maybe that one song that people know.  Or the other scenario where you go see a band in concert and you end up knowing more songs than you thought?

What are some bands you like to listen to that has that one song people know but not the rest of their material?  Reach out to us and let us know!  All of our contact information is below.  Thank you for joining us this week and keep on coming back each and every Monday to hear another band and some of their tunes.  So as always, we’ll see you next Monday!

Hellooooo and welcome back to another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast!  This week Kevin is up and playing a band that goes back to his “roots” a little bit.  So come along for the ride and see what you think this week!

The band of choice on this episode has become a household name in the rock world some way or another.  Love em or hate em, they have accomplished some great things.  Kevin discovered this band the same way everyone else did as their first single they ever released catapulted them into mainstream music.  From there they have had some great success and continue to make music to this day.  Going back to when they first came out they were with the times and the sound they had fit right into what was popular at the time.  So of course Kevin was all over it.

This week there is also a touchpoint on suicide and how terrible it is.  Please remember, if you have ever felt those thoughts or feel alone, we would be more than happy to talk to you!  Just reach out to us, you are not alone!  Lets talk music or whatever else you want to talk about!

Thank you for joining us this week and hopefully you found something you didn’t realize you might exist or you didn’t give a fair chance to.  Check out our patreon page and our website and always, we’ll see you next Monday!
