About Marble Molly from their bio on Spotify: “Adam, Paz, and Stuart, born of the mountains of north Wales and steeped in the salty-ness of the seaside, are Marble Molly. They fuse fold and acoustic influences with rock and roll rhythms. Taking inspiration from the blues rockers Pearl Jam & Gomez, and adding slices of Damien Rice and Damon Albarn, their songs are delicate, intricate, and sometimes heavy!”
The theme for this episode is Favorite Stress Release Songs (acoustic). Adam picked this theme because it is in acoustic music that he can find rest and peace after a hard day. About Katie Dobbins' music from her website: “Since the release of She Is Free, Dobbins has spent her musical career sharing her personal songs and stories about finding herself, pursuing dreams, and cherishing relationships while boldly exhorting listeners to set themselves free to live, love, and follow their own passions. Recorded at The Recording Co-op, an old barn that had been converted into a beautiful music studio, She Is Free received critical acclaim. Brian Varneke of Deli Magazine called it "a deeply personal record full of reflective poetry and messages of love," and Music Box Pete described Dobbins' sound as "derived within the folk and country mindset, with a realistic and down home sound that transports you directly to Nashville by way of Boston." For Dobbins, it was a personal declaration that fear would no longer hold her back, and that she had been set free to live with passion, expectation for great things, and love.
Dobbins' sophomore album, There Is Light, contains remarkably honest songs that capture seasons of both hardship and joy, but hold onto the hope that light will always illuminate and overpower darkness. The songs range a variety of genres, incorporating elements of folk, pop, and country, and dreamlike qualities that connect them all. This second album is a clear evolutionary step for Dobbins, with increased depth and range vocally, lyrically, and musically that together make her unique way of describing personal relationships and life challenges even more powerful and compelling. Full of songs that explore the intimate relationship of despair and hope with the human spirit, There Is Light reveals Dobbins as more seasoned in both life and her artistry. Nominated for Album of the Year at The 2019 New England Music Awards, the album is currently available on all digital streaming platforms."
The theme for this episode is Songs That Inspire. Katie came up with that theme because it reflects her motto of “Be You, Be Brave, Be Free” and is throughout all of her music. Katie has a lot of great songs for that theme, so make sure to give them a listen on the show’s Spotify playlist.

About Empty Atlas from their bio on their website: “The Mississippi-based indie-rock act - featuring vocalist and rhythm guitarist Micah Smith, lead guitarist Brennan Michael White, bassist Alex Ingram and drummer Robert Currie Hansford - has become known for dynamic and melodically gripping songs about people and the way we connect. The band’s first full-length album, 2016’s Hestia, dealt with the idea of home and what it can mean, from acceptance and comfort to solitude and loneliness.
Now, Empty Atlas returns with their sophomore full-length album, Kairos, available June 12, 2020, in partnership with Carved From Stone Records. Smith calls the album “the other side of the coin” from the band’s previous full-length. Where Hestia centered on settling down, Kairos examines the choice to leave everything behind and chase success.”

About JBJ from his bio on his website: “JBJ, a singer/songwriter from Boston, completed his first solo album, Tin Man, in the spring of 2015. He released his second solo album, So Close, February 2018 and is currently working on his third. Originally from Texas, JBJ's life as a musician began at a young age as a drummer in his father's church. Growing up as the third son of a preacher was not easy and JBJ found his salvation through music. Eleven years ago, JBJ carved his own path and made his way to the Northeast, working various jobs to keep afloat. He landed a job as a worship director and over the last 7 years has gained invaluable experience leading a band, working on dynamics and honing his skills as a performer. While working full-time, JBJ has been getting out to perform in several local venues, has completed two albums and is currently working on his third. Although he plays all the instruments on his albums, JBJ hand-picks a group of seasoned musicians to play his music (as well as choice covers) for live gigs. This group of passionate musicians with different backgrounds and styles make up JBJ's band, Blended Family.”
