Thanks to the power of social media, his song “How To Not” took off, bringing in over 3.5 Million streams and a growing fanbase. Tommy has collected over 5 Million global streams in his first few months of pursuing a music career.

Now, Tommy is embracing the Nashville journey, landing opening slots on tours such as Megan Moroney’s “Am I Okay?” Tour and Hudson Westbrook’s 2025 Summer Tour. 

Tommy was found by legendary songwriter, Jessi Alexander, best known for hits such as Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” and Luke Combs’ “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma”. Jessi signed Tommy to his first publishing deal under Warner Chappell. He’s excited to see where music takes him as he continues doing what he loves.

We were connected with Tommy by his Uncle Brooks Atwood, a close personal friend of ours who owns Atwood Hats and Spradley Hats. These are the finest cowboy hats made. Not to mention Brooks spent 5 years in Nashville pursuing his own Country Music career. Phillip Lammonds is a songwriter's songwriter, he's penned more than 4,000 songs over the decades. More than a few have been hits: Hootie & the Blowfish (“One Love”), Lee Brice (“Best Part of Me,” “My Carolina”), Craig Morgan (“Love Loves a Long Night”), and many others. After Brice (Phillips' friend and producer) got him to come out of the songwriter shadows and into the role of performing artist, Cowboy Things debuted in April of 2024, with guest vocal appearances from Darius Rucker and Pam Tillis, and a song co-written with legendary actor Bill Murray.

We were introduced to Phillip by fellow Curb Records songwriter Joe Leathers. Joe called Philip a "Modern Day Renaissance Man" and the hook was set. We had to have a conversation with him. What an interesting and funny guy, he had me laughing from start to finish. Thanks Philip for joining us on the podcast. I know you will enjoy this episode as much as we did!

Joe Leathers is a Nashville songwriter, and regardless of what he says in his social media intro's - He is a GREAT Songwriter! He has written or Co-Written hits like "Hemingways Whiskey" with cuts by Guy Clark, Kenny Chesney and Kris Kristofferson. The hit "Still" for Tim McGraw,  "Save the Roses" for Lee Brice and "Tough" for Craig Morgan. Not to mention a hundred plus other cuts with major artists.

We follow Joe on social media and when we were planning our trip to Nashville we reached out and asked for an interview. He graciously agreed, and when we arrived at Curb Records on Music Row in Nashville his first question to me was " Why Me" and I simply answered back "Why Not You"!

Roger Murrah is a Hall-of-Fame Songwriter, Publisher and founding partner at Murrah Colton Entertainment.

His standards include "Don't Rock The Jukebox" (Alan Jackson), "We're In This Love Together" (Al Jarreau), "Goodbye Time" (Conway Twitty & Blake Shelton), "Only Love" (Wynonna Judd), "Where Corn Don't Grow" (Travis Tritt), "Stranger Things Have Happened" (Ronnie Milsap), and "I'm In A Hurry" , "High Cotton" and "Southern Star"(Alabama).

Roger also started Murrah Music Group in 1990 signing hit songwriters like Phillip White, Luke Bryan, Mike Mobley, Jon Henderson, Rachel Proctor, Mark Alan Springer, Rachel Thibodeau and many more. Some of their hit copyrights include "I'm Movin On", "Good Directions", "He Gets That From Me", "The Keeper Of The Stars", "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane" and "When I Close My Eyes".

Roger has served on the boards of CMA, NSAI, NARAS and was Chairman for five terms with The Nashville Songwriters Foundation.

As chance would have it, we were introduced to  Mr. Roger by Ed McRedmond who we met at the Kimbro Pickin Parlor in Franklin, TN. Thank you Ed for the suggestion that we meet and interview this fascinating  man. I could have talked with Roger for at least another hour, and that would have barely scratched the surface of his career. Hopefully we will get another chance in the near future.

Craig Campbell put together a string of hits like “Family Man,” “Fish,” “Keep Them Kisses Comin’,” “Outta My Head,” and the gold-certified “Outskirts of Heaven” before launching Grindstone Recordings in 2020. Last year, he released his Class of ’89 album, six classic country hits that represent the core influences who helped mold his desire to pursue a career as an artist and songwriter, and Almost Greatest Hits, re-recordings of six of his smash hits.

We met up with Craig at his Grindstone Cowboy Coffee shop in Eagleville, TN where we sat down with him to discuss his music career, how he got his start in Nashville which led him to a stint playing piano for Luke Bryan and Tracy Byrd. His focus and patience paid off when he scored his own record deal, which eventually ended but not before making his mark by scoring seven Top 40, 1 top 15 singles with "Family Man" and 1 Top 10 "Keep them kisses comin" and one of his most notable singles "Outskirts of Heaven" reaching #24. Now as an independent artist producing music under his own label Grindstone, his future in the music industry is looking bright.

Scout Speer’s passion for music was kindled in a home on the Tennessee-Alabama line, where her grandaddy’s guitar playing introduced her to the harmonies that bind a family. Raised amid the sounds of country greats and the rustic farming life, outdoor adventures became as much a part of her as her music. At eight, motivated by a promise from her grandaddy to pass down the family guitar, Scout learned to play, earning herself the cherished instrument.

Though her early ambitions were swayed by a successful athletic career in soccer, including a state championship and playing through college, music remained her true calling. Ultimately, Scout set aside her athletic achievements to follow her dream of country music artistry, a testament to the enduring influence of her grandaddy’s introduction to music, and impact of her rural upbringing.

With her distinctly warm vocal tone and genuine, heartfelt lyrics, Scout Speer will be moving from the great outdoors to the Grand Ole Opry in no time.

This young artist seems to be on a rocket ship to stardom! In just a matter of a couple of years, Dawson Moon came from the potential of becoming a professional golfer to performing on stages as a singer/songwriter around his home state of Idaho. Dawson is making waves online and fast becoming one of the local favorites. In just a few months he has garnered the attention of the Valley Music Fest Promoters and they have added him to the lineup of their inaugural event to be held Sept 4-6, 2025 in Sun Valley, ID where he will be performing on the same stage as some of his hero's. Headlining is Baker Blankenship another online Phenom, as well as Josh Meloy and Shane Smith and the Saints along with 50 additional performers over the 3 day event!
