  • The Hunt for White Stratoliner

Greeting to all of our wonderful fans (both of you).

We have returned with a better sound.  If you heard the last show, we apologize for the technical difficulties and will be re-releasing it again soon - with a special message from an unknown celebrity, and bonus material that may have been cut the first time.

Note, as we are now utilizing a new software for editing, there will be some minor glitches, but we're learning, and any feedback would be welcome.

In this show, we truly challenge ourselves to defending and voting on some of the best curated albums ever to have a needle dropped upon them.

In this episode we discuss the following albums - and as stated before, we are no longer providing links, as everyone has their own preference for obtaining music (legally or illegally is not our concern).

Los Lobos - How Will the Wolf Survive
    The Cure - Disintegration
    Pretenders - Pretenders
    Janet Jackson - Control

As always, we greatly appreciate our listeners!

    Peace, Love, and Coffee,

Dave, Scott, Cory and yer Mom

Background music for Pretenders - "Space Invaders" by Pretenders

  • The Season Finale!

    **REMASTERED**
Here is the last show of the year and last show of season one.

    Why?  Why not?

On this show we bring in a guest, because we know you are tired of hearing just the three of us, so we figured another voice would be nice.

And yes, we did record the holiday episode after this recording and then release it before this one, so if it feels a little out of sync with the world to you, you do not need to adjust your medication.

Otherwise, thank you all for a great year and we will be back next year with our usual...er... um... shenanigans!

    Peace, Love, and Coffee

  • The 2021 Holiday Special

Recently, it was shared with us, "you know, you guys are awesome, and you know what else is awesome?  Star Wars!"

And what does Star Wars have that we don't?  That's right! A Holiday Special, especially one as spectacular as theirs - filled with song, mirth, weird religions, and embracing the true meaning of the holidays.

We gave the folks over at Rolling Stone a break for the holidays and decided to discuss some of the worse holiday songs out there, but in our own special way.

We invite you into our little lodge: the fireplace is ablaze, the Hi-Fi is playing some soft holiday favorites in the background, the eggnog is served, there are throw blankets everywhere, and the pets are snuggled in by the fire.  So, get cozy and get ready to make this podcast part of your yearly, family tradition.

A little holiday greeting to share with your friends and family will be out soon!

Peace, Love, and Coffee (and a little nog, too),

Cory, Dave, Scott, and of course, your mom

And for Thor's sake, go check out Twitter for some links to the songs mentioned.

  • Tony Soprano Approved

    Hey folks!

Sorry for the long hiatus.  We will not quarrel over which party missed the other more, but let's just presume it was you and you can take that apology to the bank for one of their nice decorative pens (bring clippers).

Remember how we said there would be a Halloween special - well, that didn't happen.  However, in the spirit of The Bad News Bears, we'll do our best to kick that ass next year.

This time around we are vying for a sponsor and want to get their attention by doing bits for them, so please check out the Liquor Whaaat folks at their web site here.

Thank you all again for your patronage, and please, for the love of all that is unholy, subscribe to the show and follow us on Twitter.

  • Podcast Under Siege

For those you that suffer from triskaidekaphobia - you can stop here, and you can thank us via Twitter or on our next episode.

Speaking of episodes, this one is late.  Sure, we did not officially say that we would release the hounds every two weeks, and have done our best to get you a show every two weeks, but the time leading up to last Monday was not in our favor.

You have to understand that September 21st is the Feast of St. Matthew, but for religious and gastronomic reasons, we held the feast on Friday.  As it happens, there was an outbreak of Mad Cow from the Brontosaurus Burgers, and a batch of bad clams that struck us all equally.  So, as the weekend editing was supposed to occur... well, I shall spare you the details.

But wait, the next episode will be a Halloween Bonus episode.  Yes, we hear you and can feel your excitement from here and we thank you.  Be on the lookout for this episode to be released before Halloween.

Otherwise, thank you all again for your patronage.

Please subscribe and follow us on Twitter - we will ask again!!

    Albums discussed

    Gang of Four - Entertainment!
Drake - If You're Listening to This, It's Too Late (mixtape?)

  • Podcast in A Minor

    This is our 12th show.
Frank Sinatra was born on 12/12 (and if you are familiar with his obscure work, then you know he worked with 12 psychic oboists).
There are 12 months in a calendar year.
There are 12 hours on a standard clock.
There are 12 items in a dozen (and subsequently 12 dozen in a gross).
There are 12 inches in a foot.
There are 12 signs of the Zodiac (just ask Ted Cruz)

Not that we are obsessed with the number 12, but it's a cool number and also half of the combination on most bags of luggage.

Again, we appreciate your patronage and are thankful for each and every one of you (yes, even you, and you know who you are).

Please subscribe to the show and be sure to drop your thoughts on us over at Twitter at m_shenanigan.

  • The Picnic

The cage matches continue, and the victors party like it's the last office holiday party in 2019 - which means, they party politely and dignified in hopes of another year off of the Human Resources Radar.

This time around we have Debbie Harry and Fiona Apple duking it out over a scrabble board, while in the second round we grease up John Fogerty and Tom Petty for some good old fashioned Greco-Roman wrestling (Elven shows, ABBA knee high gold boots, and capes not included - some assembly required).

Again, we want to thank each and every one of you for coming back to our little soiree, we greatly appreciate you and would love to hear from you on our Twitter feed (@_mshenanigan) - and yes, it is not beneath us to beg.

    Peace, Love, and Coffee,

    Cory, Scott, and Dave

This show (and especially the Tom Petty segment) is dedicated to the incredible memory of Jordan Byron Kinley - he was not here for a long time, but he was here for a good time.
