I have been following Phantogram's music for years but I really didn’t know much about how Josh and Sarah started their band. So it was a lot of fun spending the afternoon with them learning about their journey and how they got to where they are now.

You’ve probably heard Morgxn's single Home on your favorite ABC show, or maybe you’ve seen him play a summer festival. His music really cuts to the core and always finds a way to be uplifting. I’m such a fan, but more importantly, I’m lucky to call Morgan my friend!!

Tim Kasher is the leader of several really cool music projects like The Good Life and Cursive. I was really excited to meet him. And he brought cookies!

Everyone here at My Caffeine Withdrawal had really been looking forward to this week's interview. We're all really big Cold War Kids fans and have been for quite a while. So having Matt Maust and Nathan Willet over to my house for coffee was kind of a dream come true.

I had a very interesting talk with Matt and Nathan about their approaches to making music, how it's changed throughout the years, and what they hope to release next.

Alex, Sally, and Daniel of Run River North really know their coffee. The coffee they made me was one of the best I've had doing this show. It's no surprise because they all three work at coffee shops around LA and their shows often feature an intermission coffee break. I had such a good time sitting down and talking with and doing my best to stay in the moment, which is one of the things we talked a lot about.

I first learned of Kelsey Carter because of her face tattoo of Harry Styles. Then I followed her on Instagram and dug into her catalog. I was hooked. Luckily Kelsey is also a coffee addict like me, and she agreed to bring me a cup and tell me more about her life in Australia, how she been able to listen to her creative impulses and of course gimme all the details of how she and her team pulled off the Harry Style face tattoo stunt.

Ron Pope has managed to build an impressive career, and massive fan following all over the world completely independent. First by rallying fans by posting music on myspace and asking for their support. Eventually, Ron and his wife formed their own record label, Brooklyn Basement Records.

Ron and I both spent a lot of time in NYC and have some mutual friends, but we really connected after running into each other at a coffee shop called Dose in Nashville. I was so happy to not only catch up but also learn more about Ron’s experience in the music industry.

In town for tour rehearsal, Matt Vasquez and John Jameson, of Delta Spirit agreed to stop by my house and make me a cup of coffee. Like many of you, I was first introduced to Delta Spirit through The Walking Dead. I was curious to learn more about them the band and what they had been up since taking a break after their last record. From early days of forming the band to taking time for solo endeavors, we cover a lot of ground in this week’s podcast. John and Matt have collected a lot of insight and stories over their years together touring and creating music. I can’t wait to see what they do next.

Ella Vos is a singer and a songwriter based here in LA, who I’d basically been stalking on Instagram for months before I even asked her to be on my podcast.

Ella is really such a special person with a calm strength and curiosity about life, that has gotten her through many challenges in her life and helped her maintain her commitment to her craft and career.

Ella left me feeling inspired, motivated, and better off than I started. I think it’s going to do the same for you.

Last December I was excited to have Josh Radnor over to my house. You probably know Josh from How I Met Your Mother or Hunters on Amazon, or maybe even from his career as a singer-songwriter with his band Radnor and Lee. I talked to Josh about his career, his music, and been his newsletter called Museletter which I find consistently illuminating and motivating to read whenever it shows up in my inbox. I had a great afternoon getting to know Josh better and I think you will too.
