He (Jesus) said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” It seems like a simple enough vision, but no one to our knowledge asked Him how He would accomplish that. Apparently, they just took the first step and asked questions later. In the end, He instructed them to make disciples of all nations, an instruction we take to be ours as well. The Word of God speaks really clearly about how to treat your body, the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Believers must decide for themselves how that applies. Thankfully the Word has a lot to say regarding immunity and it's availability to followers of Christ. He is our Rock of salvation, healing and deliverance, just as He was for the Old Covenant Israelis in the desert.

Discernment, Diet, and Disciplines. To make disciples, we must help believers move from being carnal to being spiritual, and raise the whole church from immaturity to maturity. We need healthy churches, not just places of worship. Today’s message is on one facet of church health, disciplines. Structuring and organizing for a healthy and vibrant church body is vital. Our mandate is to make disciples of nations and mature laborers for the greatest harvest of souls in history.

What made the early church healthy and vibrant? Our mandate is to make disciples of nations. We must not only reach the lost with the Gospel, adding new believers. To make disciples, we must help believers move from being carnal to being spiritual, and raise the whole church from immaturity to maturity.

Today’s message is on one facet of church health, discernment. Our mandate is to make disciples of nations. We must have a strong sense of discernment of our culture and the times we live in if we are to make any kind of lasting impact.

“Why not sugar???” when the Bible says that God is LOVE, and one of the ways that love is often times demonstrated is with a gift containing large amounts of sugar! And salt and sugar look very similar in appearance. Could Jesus have been mistaken to want us to be SALT? We will examine information about salt, along with some of its characteristics or qualities in the light of Scripture.

Many Christians are unaware of the Jewish roots of their faith. Although Jesus was Jewish and actively observed all the Jewish festivals, traditions and customs, many have cast the Jewish people off as irrelevant in this Christian era. Without the Jewish people, there would be no salvation for non-Jewish people. However the Word states this about Israel. “For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?” Romans 11:18. We live in an amazing day, when many Israelis are finding Yeshua, their Jewish Messiah.

The lesson in this message is to seek God afresh about everything in your life and allow Him to direct you. He will lead you to victory upon victory!

While longing for another fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we should not be fooled by the counterfeit, nor should we miss what the Holy Spirit is doing in our day just because it doesn't look like we thought it would.
