There are storms in life that threaten to sink us. Mark 4:35-39 details a storm that caused the disciples to panic, but shows us how Jesus gained the victory. There are additional scriptures that illustrate for us how people of faith in the Bible overcame storms of various forms, and came out stronger. Your test can also become your testimony!

Sirs,” he said, “I believe there is trouble ahead if we go on—shipwreck, loss of cargo, injuries, and danger to our lives.” —Acts 27:10. How easily we can be blown off course from the will of God by listening to advice from others instead of listening to a word from the Lord! The Word of God is a sure steady and unchanging source of advice to keep the ship of your life on course.

In the midst of worldwide crisis and craziness, we celebrate Independence Day, the founding of our nation. While most Americans celebrate the day, some still debate the question, “Should Christians remain silent and disengaged from the political chaos that seems to prevail?”

In the Holy Spirit’s School of Faith, the agenda is often executing one simple instruction. Why is it so difficult for us to carry out one simple instruction? Today I invite you to join the class, but first you must promise to keep it simple.

God’s desire for this generation is to return the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers. Only through Jesus will broken hearts be mended and only through the Gospel will restoration come.

Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people. (Proverbs 14:32). Jesus gave one simple instruction for finding Bread from Heaven that satisfies. “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” —John 6:29 NLT

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible lays out God’s plan of intervention and redemption. Our relationship with Him is the key to ending the identity crisis and to finding purpose and significance in life. Don’t let satan steal your sense of identity in Christ and rob you of the purpose and significance that Jesus paid for at the Cross.

Many people suffer identity crisis and struggle even when shown the devastating effects of living without purpose. Thankfully getting out of this hurtful lifestyle is right within your reach through the Word of God. It’s worth enduring short-term struggle to live a worthwhile lifestyle now and throughout eternity.

Today we celebrate Pentecost, the day of the amazing outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Shavuot as it is called in Hebrew is rich in meaning as a festival instituted by God in the Old Testament.
