Many believers want an abundance of God's grace and peace, but they are unwilling to put forth the effort to get to know Him better through bible study and prayer. To enjoy the privileges God offers us freely, we need to grow in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

When we are born again, we are made to be new creatures in Christ, but our soul requires restoration. This is a work of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God as we seek to renew our minds. In this way, we will be free from past hurts and lies, and can walk in genuine victory, ready to fulfill all that the Lord has for us.

Giving definition to discipleship is a great start. Be committed! It’s a cause worth living for. It’s a cause worth dying for.

Fresh out of the gate on the day of Pentecost, the new believers were radical, committed, conscientious, and passionate. Their reputation for zealous reproduction of disciples earned them a reputation for turning their world upside down. Outsiders called them Christians meaning “Little Christs”. God wants more than belief and worship in church. He wants faith and love in action outside of the church. These early radicals were committed! It was a cause worth living for and it was a cause worth dying for, so these disciples became great disciple makers.

The theme of covenant winds through the Old Testament and into the New. God is a covenant keeper. His Son Jesus became the mediator of the New Covenant, a better covenant established on better promises. Understanding this new covenant will help you activate your faith to receive the benefits of those better promises.

What is God’s true heart and intention concerning the prosperity of His people? The Apostle John wrote, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 2 NKJV). God is a covenant keeper. Let’s participate in faith.

We can learn principles of faith in action from the widow in 2 Kings 4 who obeyed the prophet of God and put the one small jar of olive oil she had left in her house to work. Be like the widow, and pour out your oil where God tells you, then watch your greatest need become your greatest abundance.
