"The greatest enemy to missions are prejudice and indifference, with spiritual blindness, the mother of them both," Brother Singh states.

Blinded from the truth, people accept fairytales about death, errantly believing that the soul lives on after the body dies. In a poignant, short message, Brother Singh reviews death's reality and offers us the resurrection's hope. Faith is based on Biblical truths, not myths and pagan superstition.

Every man God calls is taken through a unique process to develop him into an effective minister. Men of God must be patient and long-suffering, yet be courageous enough to confront and kill a wolf when it threatens the flock. They must be humble, yet unbendable in the face of rebellion and rejection.

In the final message of 2020, Brother Desmond Singh presents his testimony. He traces his walk with God from childhood to his ministry today. Each step of the journey helped prepare him. A man of God is far more important than a president or prime minister. To know your pastor is to know Christ's ambassador. 

It is not coincidental that our Lord has used marriage to illustrate the sanctity and intimacy of His relationship with the church. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word." What was our Lord's goal? "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So {too} ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself." (Ephesians 5:24-28) 

No husband wants a Don Juan making passes at his wife. Each time we entertain false worship, and pagan customs, we are flirting with Satan—the deceiver and spoiler— giving him access to interfere with our relationship with Christ. Like a promiscuous wife, we jeopardize our marriage vows for the sake of a handful of carnal pleasures. Pastor Singh jealously guards his assembly (and indeed, the whole of God's work).  He is "jealous over us with godly jealousy: for he has espoused us to one husband, that he may present us as a chaste virgin to Christ." (2 Corinthians 11:2)

The priests and people of ancient Israel dreaded the arrival of prophets. They only appeared when delivering a strong warning from God or to pronounce judgment. Because rebellion and backslidden habits were commonplace, the prophets were deeply resented.

Brother Desmond Singh takes no pleasure in pointing out our errant and backslidden ways of serving God. By nature, he is soft-hearted, but as a called man of God, he stands as a "brazen wall" against fables and pagan customs that have crept into the body of Christ(Jer. 15:20). He delivers the word of God without apology.

In this practical lesson, brother Singh shows that every believer must make "pro & con" choices to reach their spiritual goals. Paul wrote, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove yourselves." (2 Corinthians 13:5) The apostle continued, "Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? That is unless you fail to meet the test!" (Paraphrased)

Knowing whether or not we are in "the faith" is critical. Brother Singh has warned about following another gospel or another Jesus. In these last days, fake messengers will present choices to us. We will have to decide to follow the truth or a lie. We will have to decide whether to cling to our earthly comfort and security or to trust the promises of Christ. If we are not established and grounded in faith today, we will not make the right choices under duress tomorrow.

We fail to comprehend the love of God. "He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” (Eph. 1:4)  The transformation required to take us from lost wretches to be holy and blameless must take place in the church; in Christ's church. It is an arduous process. 

It is imperative then, that the church be a measured place; not by our standards, but by God's (Revelation 11:1).  Since COVID-19 began, Pastor Singh now evaluates every aspect our this assembly's service to God. We used to view the scripture above as some future measurement. Now our Pastor sees it differently. The Bible already discloses God's requirements, but we have allowed human dogmas and traditions to dictate worship patterns contrary to God's ordinances. 

There is a reason many of us remain immature in our Christian life. Jesus said, "You did not choose me, but I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you." (John 15:16) The fruit that we are to produce is the fruit of the Spirit:  "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23) God calls us to be transformed from the works of the flesh (vs. 19-21) to exhibit the nature of Jesus! Fruit takes time and careful nurturing to grow.

We recite the words, but in reality, our lifestyle does not reflect our conviction. Our faith is too weak to accept unconditionally in God's master plan.  So, we cling to a love affair with the world. People become insensitive to their reality! We know what is right, yet continue to do that which is wrong, Brother Singh laments. Sometimes we do no want to know what is right because we prefer to continue in a pet sin or destructive habit.

People become insensitive to their reality! We know what is right, yet continue to do that which is wrong, Brother Singh laments. We call evil good and good evil. Woe be us!

Spiritually, "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us, therefore, cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light." (Rom. 13:12).  This present age is in gross spiritual darkness, Brother Singh cautions.  If we believe we live in "perilous times," we ought to be alert for trumpet warnings. Our enemy is exceptionally sophisticated; therefore, the help of the Holy Spirit through God's anointed ministry.

Pagan concepts embedded themselves into Christianity so deeply most people do not think about their origin. The devil counts on our complacency to enhance his subtlety. That was the genesis of deception in the Garden of Eden.
