Death is a reality we all must face. It comes both to the old and the young. It can come swiftly and unexpectedly, or slowly and torturously. Any notion that life continues after death is scripturally errant. The origins of such belief have their roots in paganism. We do a great disservice to families in mourning if we try to comfort them with fantasies about "so-and-so" being in a better place, happy amongst the angels. 

Brother Singh points out that the phrase rest "Rest In Peace" is an appropriate quotation for indeed the dead do rest in peace until the resurrection. 

Scripture assures us, "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God." (Romans 8:28) That is for the elect, "those who called according to his purpose." ALL THINGS mean both the positives and negatives of life. The pestilence (called COVID-19) works for our good. This statement will make no sense to the non-elect, but a child of God will understand upon hearing it and rejoice in their spirit.  

The election of God is beyond human comprehension. Moreover, technically we are never out of God's will, for he knows the path with will take to our destination. God charted our lives in his mind long before our birth.  Brother Singh beautifully explains God's salvation plan for the elect of God.

Surprisingly, many Christians fail to see the pestilence racking the world, labeled COVID-19, as God's judgment. It is presumptuous if we believe that judgment is meant only for other people. "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins with us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17) And if God's people are not responding positively to "present truth" as delivered from our pulpit, is it any wonder some of us are sick and struggling with life? 

 Brother Singh asks one of those questions that make some squirm uncomfortably: "Why is the world's greatest Christian nation,  America, the most devasted by this pestilence?"  The answer will surprise many.

Brother Singh assures us that despite being in the midst of hell, breaking loose around him, he is satisfied he receives the living water offered us through Christ, Jesus. (John 4:14)  Salvation prompts the Holy Ghost to work in our lives.  Salvation separates fantasy from reality. A real salvation experience results in a genuine Holy Ghost baptism. Paul made clear, "if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to them that are lost, because the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which do not believe."  (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)  Let us understand; there is a difference between fantasy and reality. There is a difference between faking a Holy Spirit experience and a genuine baptism in the Spirit.  Believing in a fable is spiritual blindness; it cannot lead to eternal life.

"Reality" for the elect of God is this:  "We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." (2 Cor. 4:7)

Live-streaming is here to stay for the foreseeable future.   How the saints of God participate in this mode of delivery will measure our relationship with God. If we treat online services as being in God's sanctuary and conduct ourselves accordingly, we will personally benefit. Recently Brother Singh stated, "COVID-19 has improved the lives of every elect child of God!"Our attitude during a live-streamed service is all-important.  "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." (Hebrews 10:22) 

The beastly system may provide the technology we use to hold church, but God allows it to test and try our faith. We will face far more difficult trials in the days ahead. Therefore,  "let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. (Hebrews 10: 23-24)

COVID-19 has improved the lives of every elect child of God!  Yet, humankind is reeling to and fro in confusion.  Brother Singh states, "If your life is depressed and challenged, then you have not listened to me over the past eight months."

God says, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:9) For sincere children of God, there is no need to fear. Pastor Singh offers this assurance: We learn to do what God wants by surrendering our will to His. We can learn to develop the mind of Christ by understanding how Jesus thinks, for his thoughts are in line with the Father's." (John 5:19; 6:38)

The Body of Christ at Ephesus survived to be commended in Revelation 2:1-2. The other body churches Paul planted and ministered apostatized. When a man of God moves on or dies, the movement often stagnates, yet religion still flourishes. Traditions and man-made doctrines emerge — when present truth stagnates  — denominations form. 

Devoid of "present truth," a church loses its life-force, that of the Holy Spirit.  An uncalled preacher CANNOT be led "into all truth." (John 16:13) The Body of Christ is a living organism. But without present truth, the Body of Christ is in grave danger of becoming an organization. It happened historically; it still happens today.  Brother Singh asserts, "An organism dies to be an organization!"

PREACHING IS INTENDED TO CHANGE HEARTS, NOT TO ENTERTAIN.  Paul warned Timothy that perilous times would come in the last days. (2 Tim. 3:1)  Little did the great apostle know that the last days would be 2020. We look south with great concern and empathy for America, as the greatest nation on earth. Godly principles seem to have abandoned in the name of political expediency and corporate profits.

 Indeed people are "lovers of themselves, money lovers, boasters, arrogant, abusive, and disobedient to their parents.  WE are ungrateful, unholy,  inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, brutes, haters of good.  Treachery abounds. People are reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to the outward form of godliness but denying its power." (2 Tim. 3:2-5)

"TRUTH HAS NO  NEED FOR APOLOGIES!"  Brother Singh assets. Reality dictates that despite the labor of our spiritual fathers (stretching from Abraham, through Paul to Brother Sowders, then Brother Goodwin and into today), that golden calves still reside in the hearts of God's people. Similarly, many of us hang onto our traditional apostate or pagan beliefs and deep-seated prejudices long after we have come to a knowledge of the truth. 

"Don't live in the past. Live your life for today. God bless Brother Sowders, Brother Goodwin, and all the great men who laid the foundation. But you have to live today, facing problems that never existed in Peter's time, or Brother Goodwin's. 

We are POWERLESS if we are PRAYERLESS!  America has recorded more COVID infections and deaths than any other country in the world. It is not coincidental that America has more Gospel Assembly churches than any other nation! "Why?" Brother Singh asks. He concludes that we have a problem with conversion and discipleship. "We PERFORM RELIGION instead of living for God." Judgment falls because the church has failed! The man of God is blunt. "I see the failure of the church! If you do not see that, I can't help you. Blind people cannot see."
