The easiest way to destroy the church is from within. Jesus prophesied this would happen in Matthew 13:24: "While men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way." As long as the apostles remained alive, they were able to defend the church against apostasy for the most part. 

Deviating from truth undermines the work of God.  In this penetrating message, Pastor Singh shows the subtlety of Satan, who needs only to plant one grievous wolf in an assembly to destroy the flock. This is essential listening for pastors, elders, and saints in the Body of Christ.

While God does not need our tithes and offering, what we give to support God's work on earth, reflects the value we place on our salvation.  Pastor Singh draws on two extraordinary sacrifices made to God in this insightful message that set the standard by which all offerings are judged.  It is important to note a church cannot operate on faith alone. Mortgage payments, utilities, and operating expenses are a reality. God helps his children, but He does not pay our monthly overhead.

Paul's two epistles to the church in Corinth were letters of correction sent to an apostatizing assembly.  Paul established the church on the right foundation, yet it quickly became carnal under Apollus's influence. It was a lively assembly, but an undisciplined one. Despite the mechanics of religious activity, the church had taken on a spirit of disorder and emotionalism. The Corinthian church lost the simplicity of Christ, leaving itself open to the beguilement that deceived Eve—thus providing an insightful lesson for the Body of Christ today. 

Listeners (with ears to hear) will discern God leading Pastor Singh while at the pulpit. He is an extemporaneous preacher, meaning that he never prepares a sermon beforehand. To those unfamiliar with how the Holy Spirit guides the ministry, this message is quite revealing.    September 27, 2020

The church tries to make God fit our timetable.  Yet, He will never accept our insolence! Consequently, God must judge both the church and the ungodly world! Since we are incapable, or unwilling, to separate ourselves from worldly attachment, He must destroy all the idols and false gods humankind has placed before him.

Pastor Desmond Singh examines our hypocrisy by projecting "what-if scenarios."  What we might do "IF" I  were God. Ending war, death, disease, poverty, and eliminating the devil are just some of our vain imaginations. Although he could, God does not operate that way.  And we need to conform to his thinking, not man's!  September 27, 2020

In his message, Saturday, September 26th, Brother Sigh showed that Christian maturity is earned, not claimed.  If we are Christ's, then we are "heirs" according to the promise. But an heir, "as long as he's a child, differs nothing from a servant, though he is lord of all." (Gal. 4:1) In other words, a prince goes through a grueling regime of education, protocol, and military training before crowned as a king.

Many Christians expect to sit on thrones in the kingdom yet are unwilling to learn obedience by the things which Jesus suffered (Hebrews 5:8). They will be sorely disappointed.

We tend to regard the Bible as if it was written for us when it was not. For instance, Hebrews explicitly focused on the Jews; Timothy's letters were personal to him. The epistles to Corinth and Galatia dealt with issues in those particular churches. We can undoubtedly apply concepts of these writings to our lives today.  Pastor Singh explains that we extract from scripture what is appropriate for our time and circumstances.

The word "scripture" means writings. God did not inspire everything written in the Bible. A preacher needs to understand the context to avoid misapplying Biblical passages when guiding his congregation today.  Proverbs 10:22 is one such quote. God must lead a minister when in using scripture so that his application is correct. Moreover, we need men to be inspired by God to give us "present truth" to save us from this present evil age!       September 23, 2020

Salt is a perfect metaphor for an effective Christian witness. We should add flavor to peoples' lives by exhibiting a calm demeanor, sober judgment, wise counsel, and rational thinking.  Our family and neighbors ought to be glad to have us around. We need not be preachy or be overtly religious, (that is obnoxious) but instead, display the "fruit of the Spirit." Of course, to show the fruit, we must have the fruit! 

Pastor Desmond Singh admonished our Assembly that we are to be salt of Mississauga. People should see something different about us and be glad for our presence. Season your demeanor with grace, for it is a persuasive witness!    (September 20, 2020)

 Ideally, the man of God would receive specific details when he warns the elect of pending danger or judgment.  But, Pastor Singh asserts, "We lack the power of God." Instead, we cling desperately to our foundation and traditions. Some of those traditions are good, while others need abandonment in favor of "fresh manna from heaven." Until the church is measured and power is given to the two witnesses (Rev. 11:3), we must cling to what we have. Nevertheless, we ought to examine ourselves for iniquity. If God has not ordained practices the church uses, it is inequity! Judgment befalls all who committed fornication, with the great whore, and are intoxicated by the wine of her fornication. The trumpet warnings of Revelation 9 herald more terrible judgments yet to come. Pastor Singh states that COVID-19 is but a mild retribution compared to what soon will follow. However, "the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues yet repented not..." of their sins. (Rev. 9:20)  The trumpets do not remove men's idols. As long as credit and banking, merchandise, and homes lean on, few people will repent.

"In the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy ..." (2 Timothy 3:1-2). Paul was not describing the conditions in the world, but rather in the church. We, the saints of today, are those who practice a "form of godliness, but deny the power thereof." Are we blind to our plight in these last onerous days?
