The trumpet warnings of Revelation 9 herald more terrible judgments yet to come. Pastor Singh states that COVID-19 is but a mild retribution compared to what soon will follow. However, "the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues yet repented not..." of their sins. (Rev. 9:20) The trumpets do not remove men's idols. As long as credit and banking, merchandise, and homes lean on, few people will repent.
"In the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy ..." (2 Timothy 3:1-2). Paul was not describing the conditions in the world, but rather in the church. We, the saints of today, are those who practice a "form of godliness, but deny the power thereof." Are we blind to our plight in these last onerous days?
