It's the way of the world. I don't totally love it, but I accept it. Yesterday, during a conversation with an Uber rider, I realized HOW MUCH inherent value there is in starting a simple conversation with someone. Asking where they're from, inquiring into what they do, asking where they got that cool jacket from. It can really start (and end) anywhere. And why do you have to know where it will go? It's pretty liberating when you stop worrying about knowing the destination of a conversation and just get into it. Thus is life, actually. I have learned, little by little to be more comfortable starting conversations with people, cause YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. Maybe the conversation will go nowhere. Or maybe, just maybe, it will....Hope you enjoy this short clip on putting yourself on the line a little bit.

Yesterday, it happened. I got in the Christmas spirit BIG TIME, legit. I turned on Celine Dion's These Are The Special Times album and oh man, was I in it! That album gave my Tesla's surround sound speakers a run for their money. So as I was listening, I started wondering why it is that I LOVE this album so much. Is it because I am a huge Celine Dion fan? Maybe. Is it because I just love Christmas music so much? Perhaps. Is it because singing in the car, while blasting the tunes is one of my favourite pastimes? Also possible. But more likely than not, it is because this album takes me back to my childhood and youth when I was really happy to be around family and enjoy the Christmas mood. Yes, that is why. Hi there, I had an interested day yesterday, full of overpriced quotes. What?! Perhaps it seems obvious to some of you, but what I realized is that when you decide to get "fancy" and buy fancy things, etc., you will surely get f-ed. I understand, people who make more, can pay more, right?! I guess I have somewhat entered into this "fancy" world with my new car purchase, a Tesla Model 3. But honestly, I am not that. I didn't buy it for the reasons of being fancy. Alas, I am learning some very interesting things from being in this "world." Here is my takeaway from yesterday: prepare to get f-ed. Here's another "Takeaways From Yesterday" episode coming at you LIVE! Yesterday, my biggest take away was all about taking care of myself and being in touch with what I really needed. It's hard when we live a life full of habits and routines to step away from those. However, sometimes it's necessary. My day was totally off my norm. In the past, that has really gotten me down, but yesterday I just took it in, adjusted and most importantly, was okay with it all. Hope you enjoy and can relate to this need of just doing you and self-care! 

I want to talk about a different kind of flavour. The best way I can summarize it in a few words is by calling it "Daily Flavour." It's the stuff that goes on in our lives everyday, and usually we just consider to be daily occurrences. However, I have started seeing it as "flavour" that somehow makes our life meaningful, exciting, frustrating, rewarding, and everything in between. In order to be in tune with these daily happenings, I am going to start reflecting and sharing them the day afterwards. Thus, I present: Takeaways From Yesterday. Here I will share my reflections on the "daily flavours" from my day before. I hope you can relate or connect to some of my experiences.

Back with another interview. This guy really got me curious about his life. Imagine being born in Fez, Morocco, a city full of history, chaos and charm, and before you know it, finding yourself in Quebec, being raised with a father working in somewhat of a mysterious field. In speaking with Tahar, I really got a sense of how much his hardworking dad influenced his lifestyle and career choices. He is as ambitious as he is cool, calm and collected. Hey there,
It's me, Natalie, checking in again with you after my relaunch of my cookie business. I have now decided to create one umbrella brand, which will include all of the things that I am "tasting" on this entrepreneurial journey. That being said, I have been reflecting a lot these days on the personal growth side of this process, and how I am being affected by everything as an individual, a human being, if you may. And here is what I am experiencing: being an entrepreneur is a lot less social than I had the image of in my mind, at least my process is such. And TBH, I think it's okay. I mean, if I really wanted, I could be attending all these social small business events and schmoozing session. But somehow I find them to be a waste of my valuable time. And we all know that is hard to come by in abundance. That being said, there are more personal and intimate social things that I have realized I am missing out on, and some are handle to swallow than others. Have a listen and see if any of this resonates with you, or someone you know and are close to.

Drumroll, please...!
Here it is. A slightly altered name with a slightly altered purpose. I have decided to overlap my brand and the name with my other business, Très Flavoured Cookies. So, in addition to explaining my purpose, I hope this serves as a little example of those who are hustling and trying to make things work. Dip your feet in everything and anything that interests YOU, or that you think you might have skills in. I have decided to bring everything that I am working on into one family so that I can share all of my workings with all of my community. The days of specializing in ONE skill or talents are kind of over. The world and it's citizens are interested in playing in a little bit of everything. Welcome the days of a cookie company that runs a podcast, offers their music picks and has their own clothing line. Well, at least I will start with the first few!

I'm back on here today with some observations from my time living in Havana, Cuba. While living there, I was fascinated by so many things, particularly in regards to transport and car culture. We can all agree that transportation is a huge component to culture "isms" wherever you are. Think about it. Everyone lives out part of their day in some form of transport whether it be a car, a bus, a taxi, an Uber, bike or otherwise. Furthermore, people can't help themselves but to get caught up in negatives and complaints about driving, traffic, parking, etc. It's an unavoidable part of life. Even those who prefer not to be in it, are affected by it.
Cuba is definitely a special place when it comes to transport culture. Everyone knows that the "old American cars" are a typical Cuban image. But it goes much beyond taking some flashy tourist pictures in these iconic cars during your car tour.
Here I address a few Cubanisms that I observed in Cuba that take you a little further into transport culture there. Listen in while I discuss the car and taxi life. I think I will have to follow this up with other episodes of all the other fascinating modes of transport in Cuba.
