Three Cambria Heights Middle School students will travel to Michigan and Florida for their inventions! 

Logan Ivory, Luke Holtz and Maverick Dutko are heading the Invention Convention U.S. Nationals competition in Michigan in June and  The National TSA Competition in Florida.

The invention that brings them to these competitions is a multi-purpose button that can hook onto any teacher’s lanyard and promotes school safety.

We talked to Logan about his inventions and the upcoming competitions.

The Altoona Area High School Friends of Rachel club recently celebrated a grand reopening of Rachel’s Closet, a shop at the school where students can come for clothing, school supplies and personal hygiene items, free of charge.

 The student-led transformation of the closet was a project between club members and AAHS classes
