We talked to two members of the staff at Hollidayburg School District- SADD Advisor Mrs. Garman and one of the school's mental health workers, Mrs. Hershey.  

They talked about the importance of working on the student's mental health. 

Two student members of SADD, Addison and Benjamin, talked about the their friends and the message of SADD. 

For Buzz Free time, we talked to Emma, Austin, Henry, and Evan from Richland High School. 

All four are members of Richland's SADD club and a host of other clubs at the school. 

Each club has a focus on the students doing their part in their local community in a variety of ways. 

An independent movie filmed last year in Altoona  has gone on to be featured in several film festivals. 

Steve Shaffer wrote a play titled “Judgment” in the 90s. 

Now, he has adapted the play into a new short film, “Appealing: A dark comedy about a serious subject”

The cast includes members of the Altoona Community Theater.
