  • New York City Precap ft. Hayden Cashion
This week's episode of My Social Life is a bit different from normal. I just got back from New York City with my good friend and Episode 1 guest Hayden Cashion and we went down to NYC to record episodes for the podcast. We ended up shooting 10 episodes of My Social Life with amazing people and I'm really excited for you to hear them all.
This episode is a preview of what is to come as Hayden and I recap the entire trip, hence the name 'Precap' (Preview + Recap = Precap). This trip was amazing, the people we met were incredible and I'm really looking forward to start publishing these episodes.

  • Flapjack's Co-Founder Corey Sauve: Running multiple businesses and doing ALL of their social media
Although not a big fan of the word entrepreneur for it’s overuse in today’s society, Corey Sauve is without question a serial entrepreneur. Founding, co-founding and running multiple successful business including Flapjack’s Canadian Diner, Pudgy Boys, Trusty Wagon, and more - Corey should be considered without a doubt one of Ottawa’s 30 Under 30.
In our conversation today Corey and I chat the humble beginnings of Flapjack’s that Corey and his business partner Max started in their early 20s right after university, what it takes to run a successful business, why Corey feels the need to continue opening businesses (with his most recent being Flapjack’s in fall of 2018), and his big plans for the future.
Of course we also talk about social media - Corey runs all social media channels for all three of his current businesses with his most successful being Flapjack’s with over 16,000 followers. But when I say Corey runs all three, I mean every single post on all platforms, every day, 365 days a year are made by him. With Flapjack’s alone that is over 3,400 posts! The cool thing with his social media strategy is 99% of all content is fan content so we’ll discuss why he does that and how he decides what content to use.
This episode provided a really unique opportunity for me as Corey and I recorded this live in his brand new restaurant, Pudgy Boys. With that in mind there is quite a bit of background noise as the restaurant was open. However, this episode is definitely still worth a listen, Corey drops of ton of knowledge and insight in this one and I really think you’re going to like it.
