Lyrics:

VERSE

The words are ringing in my ear

Her shell remains but her soul aint here

She’s dead

You don’t hear it every day

Her spirit’s up and gone away

She’s dead

CHORUS

And the stillness

Is a scene of thrashing violence

And I’m deafened

I’m deafened by the silence

VERSE

I notate this while I still can

I’m going to have to be a man

Now that she’s dead

Peripheral shutdown has taken hold

I’m not the same since I’ve been told

She’s dead (she’s dead)

CHORUS

And the stillness

Is a scene of thrashing violence

And I’m deafened

I’m deafened by the silence

Join us this week as our boys talk to Harry White from one of Brisbane's biggest local pop punk bands.

[Verse 1]

I’ll bring you home again

Just say the words and let this jealousy and hatred fall apart

Give me a chance again to prove I’m different

I wish we’d been this way right from the start

[Pre-Chorus]

Did you know you were a waste of time?

A broken act of thoughtless lies

And I know that it’s not okay

But now

[Chorus]

We’ll be just fine, leave it all behind

To show you how it’s really supposed to be

It’s all green lights, we’re at new heights

Just close your eyes and help take on the world

With me

[Verse 2]

We won’t go back again to where we began

We’re better than that already come so far

I see a perfect sunset on the close horizon

Just pack your bags, we’ll leave this town and just aim for the stars

[Pre-Chorus]

Did you know you were a waste of time?

A broken act of thoughtless lies

And I know that it’s not okay

But now

[Chorus]

We’ll be just fine, leave it all behind

To show you how it’s really supposed to be

It’s all green lights, we’re at new heights

Just close your eyes and help take on the world

[Bridge]

They say there’s no happy endings but we don’t ever have to end this

Just live for now and wash away the tide

We’ll aim as high as we can go and when we’re ready you will know

We won’t back down

[Chorus]

We’ll be just fine, leave it all behind

To show you how it’s really supposed to be

It’s all green lights, we’re at new heights

Just close your eyes and help take on the world

We’ll be just fine, leave it all behind

To show you how it’s really supposed to be

It’s all green lights, we’re at new heights

Just close your eyes and help take on the world

With me

This week we tackle a particularly challenging song with the help of fellow creative, Jay Bloodsworth.

If You Were Fat Lyrics

Verse

I’m not the brightest star in the sky

But you are

You could have had your pick of all the other guys

But you didn’t go that far

And I’ll never know why

Cos quite frankly I

CHORUS

Am an apathetic

Quite pathetic

You needing

Over-touching shmoe

Who needs

A little to much attention

I love you

Nothing can change that.

Not even if you were fat (you were fat x3)

Not even fatter than me (fatter than me x3)

Ooo can you feel it?

Oh, oh a little to the left now

-Solo-

Verse

And I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed

That’d be you

You could have chosen with your heart and not your head

So that’s what you chose to do

Which has left me slightly confused

Cos baby you

CHORUS

Are a smooth talking

Sexy walking

Woman with the power to get me gawking

Girl, the fact that you aint left me

makes me love you more every day

And I’ll keep it up until the end of time

Trust me girl, if you were fat I wouldn’t leave you

But in a personal preference kind of way

I’m glad you’re not

EPISODE NOTES:

Running out of energy

No batteries

Will I survive

If I’ve got no fight

Never seems to work at all

Running out of time

Don’t matter if I try

Will I survive

If I’ve got no time

Never seems to work at all

If I’m six feet under

Drowning in my thoughts

Will I survive

Do you know why

I can’t sleep at night

If my heart is free

But my brain’s locked up

Will I survive

Do you know why

I can’t sleep at night

(Chorus)

Got a blood running through my veins oh

Telling me to give up on the game oh

Telling me not to trust myself

Give up on myself woah

I’m unstable

Oh and a little too able

To give up on everything

So don’t put no weight on me

No weight on me yeah

No weight on me oh

Oh no weight on me oh

Running out of steam

Are you feeling me

Will I survive

If I’ve got no fight

Never seems to work at all

If I’m empty inside

And I can’t see a light

Will I survive

If I’ve got no light

Never seems to work at all

If I’m six feet under

Drowning in my thoughts

Will I survive

Do you know why

I can’t sleep at night

If my heart is free

But my brain’s locked up

Will I survive

Do you know why

I can’t sleep at night

(Chorus x 2)
