On this Podcast episode i speak to Chris Mcilvenny from over the Irish Sea in Belfast. We talk about how he fell into the role of becoming an actor and where its led him so far, which includes being an extra on the famous Game of Thrones set. Even though Chris is still at the beginning of his journey he already has some great stories and insights to talk about. We also cover his travels and how the recent pandemic affected him while he was stuck in Italy. I really enjoyed talking to Chris who even though he is still young; has a solid work-ethic and is not scared of the hurdles he will have to overcome to become successful. He was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer called MYELOMA last year and he speaks honestly about his journey and how he got through it. We talk about how he stayed optimistic and focused throughout and what got him past the difficult times. I really enjoyed talking to Dan because not only was he a pleasure to interview about such an important and tough subject but also that he made it so relatable and positive. This podcast really does serve as a reminder of how remarkable we can all be when up against the odds and Dan was such an inspiring and humbling guest. Giles openly talks about his journey and how he actually started wanting to be a professional footballer but then when that didn't work out how he soon changed his path. We then chat about his calling into the creative world by becoming an actor and how he finally became a film director among other positions in the movie business. For me being a filmmaker myself i loved talking to Giles about his experiences and advice, but he also offers a great insight for others into the film industries and is not afraid to be honest about his decisions.
